Ah. Sorry man. I’ve seen quite a few drifters in person. I like the grey they use. I wish I had powdercoating as an option back then. I’ll be getting mine painted sooner or later. This wrap sucks donkey balls.

    Negative. It’s black.

I've had the front slider leak, but only ever noticed it after a long highway drive through a snow storm, so my theory is that snow and ice were accumulating in the cavity of the sliding section and then slowly leaking in through the small gaps in the weatherstripping at the corners of the slider.

I haven't noticed any beyond that (except for back at the top corners of the tailgate where there's obvious gaps), but I also don't go looking for them...

Is the seam on the weatherstripping centered on the upside of the flange or on the downside of the flange?

My regular side window leaks when closed. When the windoor is opened water leaks steady through the t-handle.

I have put in a lot of effort into sealing the bed in preparation for the Drifter, hopefully this is a one off issue as it rains here all the time and with a goosegear buildout, this will not be good.

I also had some issues with the front drop down window. I was parked so the wind perfectly aligned with the gap between the cab and Drifter. Said wind was fairly stiff too. I ripped out the weatherstripping that was there and installed slightly thicker bulb seal. Haven’t had any issues since.

I haven’t had a lick of problems with the side (solid, non frontrunner) windoors. They seal snug.

    The spindrift:

I was talking to @tyfoon11 about it at basecamp and he mentioned it’s close but not a perfect match to mgm. If it was just about dead on, I’d go for the grey but I’ll probably just go with black

I have a silver Tacoma as well and debating between trying the powder coater use my paint id to do a close match or just go for the black as all of the accessories are black. What do you guys think close grey or matte black?

The problem with colour matching is that it makes it difficult to resell. Bare alum, black or white are the only colours I would ever go with personally.
