I'm pretty sure VG will refund the deposit amount if for some reason life gets in the way, things change, etc.

I might be needing that too here unfortunately.

I don't think they will. You might get lucky under unique circumstances that they put clients whom have paid there deposit and want out in contact with perspective new clients whom wish to purchase your deposit / spot in production. Basically you put your deposit down and don't want a camper or cannot pay the remainder of the purchase you could be out your deposit. They make that very clear at the beginning.

    Check out the build
You would never be out an entire deposit. We have portion that’s non refundable that’s in place so folks don’t order and cancel often. That would disrupt production.

What has happened is customers in line have transferred their spots to someone else. That someone else pays the original deposit and we are notified.

Oh shoot, sorry Iggy. I forgot about that part. Was it 20 % of the deposit? Any way its surprisingly a good system and as popular as the campers are there is no shortage of peeps to pick up a spot in production.

I'm actively looking for a slightly used, near future build,or new camper thats for sale. Last time I didn't receive a follow up from anomalyTRD drifter sale so it was sold to someone else. Any leads is greatly appreciated. Might just have to join the 10 month wait.

    Thanks

I was actively looking too and gave up. 10 months goes by pretty quick to be honest. Might as well jump in before the wait gets even longer.

Does anyone here with a gen 2 have any issues with leaking under the bed caps?

FWIW, my Flippac had a ton of leaking under the bed rails. I took off the bed caps, used some tape to cover all the holes, added foam tape and some bulb sealing, and it's now good. But I can't wait to get rid of the bed caps as they're digging into my paint when I have a camper on.

Can someone with the new larger rear interior light post a photo of it? I want to see how much space is below the light to the edge of the aluminum square framing. It's an ideal spot to install the snaps for the bug screen. So, just a photo of the rear of the camper, looking out with the light in the frame. Thanks!

I picked up my Drifter in August, so it should be the latest. There is 5/8" from the bottom of the light to the bottom of the formed aluminum.

The screen is my homemade version. Velcro sewn around the top and sides with stick-on Velcro on the window frame and down the sides of the truck bed.

FYI - a square box of tissue fits in the space between upper and lower without falling out!

Thank you! You do have the new larger light. The smaller light looks more like a camping headlamp and has a black plastic frame. We'll be offering two different patterns to fit around each style light.

When will your Drifter come? This is the question I have been asking... Since I placed my order. Since many of us are waiting, I figure there is no harm in guessing when our campers will be finished.

Since Vagabond doesn't publish a production LeaderBoard (perhaps it is better this way), I thought some with their Drifter might be willing to share the following information on your purchase:

    Purchase date:
Order Number (received in purchase email):
Build Number (provided privately from Phil):
    Delivery date:

If a few people post this information, we can read the tea leaves! According to their Instagram page, a total of 47 campers have been driven out and posted to Instagram.

Here is a graph of the average weekly campers posted (averaged over 8 weeks). It looks like production might be up! I know the manufacturing process is complicated, and suppliers are often a bitch to deal with.

I know this is geeky, but it gives me something to do while I wait.

I think I remember them saying they’ve completed campers for non-IG people so I doubt they post every single roll out

I'm order 152 down at the bottom. Digging through the forum while I wait and drink a soda with my Vagabond Koozie the engineer in me tried to calculate the lead/delivery time. Some of these dates are estimates..."Ordered mid February" "Ordered end of the month" stuff like that...@mapjunkie I read your note about order/build number and included your order for this purpose.

Need more details as to when these orders got delivered to figure out the change in lead time (especially after the Nomad was released). Since I've got at least 6 months to wait for mine if anyone wants to add their info for when they ordered and received that would be great. Help me/others pass the time until we get that magical email.

Wouldn't be surprised if the people who have received their Drifters don't respond. Probably no interwebz out there while you are enjoying your new toy. :)

    Order # Date
