That's an option. I definitely want to visit BAMF and meet the folks there. Rather get it myself when I get an more accurate ETA from VB.

Anyone in CA want to help me install an AAL before I pick it up next summer? :)

Actually I think grey would look awesome on quicksand, but if you want you can go to a local pc shop and pick a color from their catalogue and supply Phil with the RAL code. He will then forward that to the powder coater and get you a quote on pricing

Long-time TW lurker, first-time poster. I usually hang out on the 67-72 Chevy trucks board...

Seriously considering ordering a Drifter to replace my FWC. I love my little 2014 Finch (discontinued), but dang it's heavy compared to these shells, and the Taco is always right at the GVWR limit, or slightly over. And going over Corkscrew Pass in the rain with a top-heavy slide-in camper definitely made me start looking at lighter options...

I'm in Durango, but heading to Denver next weekend. Anyone in the Denver area have a Drifter they'd be willing to show off? I'll ask in the dedicated "Drifters in my area" thread too.

I’ll be around. Sunday is better than Saturday but either will likely work.

AllDownhill, thanks! I'll send you a DM.

_rommell_, as a small business owner/operator, I do wonder how sustainable it is for Vagabond, GFC, etc to be burning the candle at both ends trying to get caught up even as the wait list gets longer and longer... pretty crazy market right now. I've been in that situation in years past and it can be tough to find the balance between not having enough business, and having way too much. Even if it were easy to find skilled employees to boost production - and it isn't - keeping quality high while doing the boosting is a tall order. I suspect VO is trying to keep their current customers happy with the limited time they have, and to some degree that means putting potential customers on the back burner. What that means for you and me is potentially frustrating in the short term, but assuming the quality remains high, the long-term payoff is meaningful.

Haha fair. Coming from Utah so anywhere that's roughly in the area of Vagabond, but legitimately if someone was willing to help I'd definitely be willing to drive out of the way

I'm order #115 and placed the order on 3/4/2019. I still need to prep my truck some more and all this time has just caused me to over analyze it and make no decsions, haha.

Hmm, have you tried calling? They always seem to respond to me. Keep in mind as well they are a small business and Phil sometimes sleeps at the shop in his truck when he works late to get work done.

Anyone with the KB Voodoo bed rails have this much of a gap (1/4 inch) between the front of the bed and the side?
How did you deal with it when mounting the drifter?
