I’m running everything off my 27 North Star agm right now. Fan, upper and lower lights, USB’s for phone chargers and 65 dometic fridge. So far it’s fine for overnight camping but if I’m stationary for a few days I’ll run the truck for a while to top up

Some folks are curious about the grey powder coat on an MGM truck, here it is next to a black one

It has a lot of different looks depending on angle and light, hopefully this helps y’all decide

After seeing the grey in person, I think you absolutely made the right choice with the red.

I'm also going with Gray for my Pyrite Mica. @splashflash are you adding powder coating to the lid too?

I ordered in mid January (order 095) and mine still isn't in the build process. I heard from Phil that there's a delay on the main formed parts. That was earlier this month. So plan on at least 10 months.

I would be all in to purchase a drifter myself but the wait time has discourage me. Tired to wait out for a use one or another one queued in line up for grabs with a soon build date. Of course none is available or local enough to me. I know it’s worth every penny but I have decided to build a similar one with other options that is not currently available. Reason being is that I have plans to use it by thanksgiving weekend so I got 4 weekend left to finish! But it’s looking good so far.

it’s honestly not my place to be posting pictures. All I can say is that it’s better off buying a drifter if you can wait in line. I’m making a one off so the cost is much higher once you factor in design, Raw materials, cut, bend, sewing and hoping it doesn’t leak. Drifter is proven. But I am simply impatient and have the know how to do everything beside the cut and bend. May make a build thread at a later date.

Is anyone living in the drifter full time with 1 or more dogs? If so, can you PM me rather than clog up this thread. I have a lot of questions.

Fair enough. Thanks. For anyone living with dogs:
    • What do you do when you need to go some place dogs aren't allowed(grocery store, dr appointment, strip club etc)
    • How are you keeping the dogs warm or cold depending on weather. This is a in relation to the first question. Let's say you need to run into a store on a hot day, do you have an AC system in the Drifter? Is the fan on the roof enough?
    • What's the likelihood of the dogs nails ripping the tent or bed material?

Thanks for that info. Is that Group 27 a second battery in addition to your starter battery?

Negative. He only has the one battery currently.
He’s going to be doing a dual battery and solar setup soon

Nope, but I picked up a second hand one, so I didn't have a choice.
