    My original intent for the propex was to "float" an 80/20 box width-wise and mount it below the mattress next to the cab window. External exhaust from there is possible with a hull fitting (you would need to slope downward as aforementioned to the side or cab) and you could route the copper around the interior perimeter of the drifter to a quick lp disconnect on the rear.

    TBH if I ever get a "new" truck to fit the camper, I'll probably do it that way so I can remove the shell (plus less wiring and the plumbing is protected from the elements). That said, I put my HS2000 in the bed and routed the exhaust under the cab with the gas line through the frame to the bumper. Be safe, lots to think about.

    Phil/Iggy - Did I hear someone say tent insulation? Still got my "cut to size" reflectix tent windows taking up room lol

    Nicely put. Feels exactly like that, a feeling I haven't had in many decades.The greater problem is not knowing the date makes it that much worse and now I'm over planning my trip out west.:sadviolin:
    May I ask what you mean by "my recent update"? I get no updates.

    Correct. I ain't mad, it's the price you pay for hand built quality.

    Just from my email correspondence about an invoice. I don't know where yours is in the mix but I think any updates I've gotten have been later in the time scale of things as it got closer to actual build time. I have had minimal changes to my build also, not requiring a lot of correspondence about details of options/add ons.

    I sure hope you thoroughly sanitized the bed after that install. It looked like someone may have gotten a little sweaty back there...

    Hmmmm... Seems to me based on my original order and subsequent emails that once build time got close they would contact the buyer to firm up options so as to know what the final build and payment was to be. That final payment was to be made prior to the build. If that is so there must be a good mechanism to communicate that aside from their sporadic email replies(not casting stones). I too have sent some questions/revisions about my original order that were not finalized in my understanding ( such as color of powder coat).
    Wonder what I missed or if I am assuming too much. <sigh>

    Just got a call today from the delivery company about the GooseGear setup for Vagabond. Its arriving tomorrow so one more piece is ready for the Drifter! Oddly GooseGear made their lead time as promised, Vagabond on the other hand is already 3 months behind, now talking about building in January, delivery in February so it will be 11~12 lead time instead of the 6 originally quoted.

    Great to hear that the Goosegear setup is arriving on schedule. We really appreciate your patience, as well as all of our customers' patience. We're working our tails off and making sure everything rolls out of the shop to our standards. And we are definitely getting more efficient while growing the company sustainably.

    The original quote I provided was 8 - 9 months past the mid/ late March order date. That would put us at December, and we are a little behind schedule. Again, we appreciate your patience and know you will enjoy the camper this spring and summer.

    @Bentrodder, what's that front bumper?

    And I missed something on the 'gram with the windows, cause they all looked clean from what I could see. Maybe I don't want to know... :lalala:

    It's a brute force fab front bumper. I'll leave the other questions for others
