You vent from the fan cover or side window? Running the Mr. Buddy on low provides a lot of heat. Think on high would be too toasty.

I am cracking the roof vent for ventilation. I am turning Mr Buddy on high just to get up to temp when the camper is cold. Low is plenty the rest of the time.

I've slept w/ the window open in -12°F. YMMV but I get by with a hot water bottle and an electric blanket. I woke up maybe twice because I had to shift around? The electric blanket was great because I could dial in however much heat I needed. Though, breathing in the cold takes a little time to acclimate to because it's so dry. I usually have a loose towel over my head or something to moisten the air a bit.

We run our Mr Buddy heater off of our 5# tank for the most part. We have ran it on low through the night with the fan cover cracked open without issue, you can also open up the back window sipper on the top. IDK I haven't ever been concerned with it because the truck and drifter are not air tight. Maybe ignorance is bliss?

That said we typically don't sleep with it on all night. Our bedding keeps us warm so we will turn it off after a while once we are tucked away. for us its an easy reach from bed though with our build out. A propex set up or diesel heater is still an open thought however. I agree the insulation package should help tremendously with condensation. for the last year we have been using some insulated panels that slip in up in the front of the tent wedge so we don't have wet legs in the winter. The insulation will just be adding to an already super capable winter camper!

Snow falling down to the front of the truck is a given it seems. We have made a tether for the rear window out of paracord for now but I have some nylon webbing that I plan to make an adjustable limiter strap of sorts that will snap on.

You can fit a strip of 2" loop side Velcro on the aluminum surface that pops out the furthest, where the shelf of your bed platform rests. We did this early on so you didn't have a clod surface to lean against and doubles as a versatile spot for bags. @huruta had some photos of it a few posts back. We have also gone as far as doing the same thing on the upper lip of the Drifter, below the rubber trim using 1" loop side Velcro. This surface is bare all the way around and kept from a cold leg spot during the night. This will likely be needed to support the new insulation package so its a win/win!

Stoked to see everyone out there using their campers!

    @Iggy

Does the prewire for solar option means the hole is already in the roof, or that the cables are just near the corner they need to be?

@SoCalTacoTruck you know everything you do online is public right?

I was in a car accident yesterday and needed to extend the date I paid you by 4 days because of the car accident. This date was the date you originally even said we could meet up on. I sold stocks after confirming the sale and dates with you, the sale of these stocks penalizes me on taxes which I was ok with for your spot.

Yet this morning, you said you had to sell to some one else due to the fact you needed the money. Looks like you are merely keeping it for yourself. You lied multiple times during our conversations about the sale and even asked me to pay MORE than the deposit after saying you were not trying to make money, which I was still ok with. But you backing out of the sale has literally costed me me more than a grand when the requested date I asked to pay you after my accident was the date you originally said you I could pay you.

You say you are an honest person but clearly are not......I am absolutely disgusted with your wanna be insta famous mind. I am merely sharing this here to call you out publicly and in hopes that anyone else lingering and watching is aware that you are in fact not honest. This is so fucked up on your part man and have costed me money.

The next time, please buy me dinner before you fuck me

Karma's a bitch man and I really really hope what ever comes to you is not super devastating.

In other news anyone selling their vagabond spot, please let me know :) since I am now shopping again and can provide payment tomorrow (Feb 20)

I saw the comment but I'm not responding publicly, nor addressing it here in a thread that's a vendors. I've notified a mod and will talk with them about it.

OoooooO somone's telling on me for letting other's know about you what you did.

I don't blame you for wanting to keep the spot, but do blame you for lying about it. Your lies cost me money. I hope you do not screw others and that's why this post should remain.

Not entirely sure what you expect from us. A quick review of your posts and threads seem to indicate you’re using TW as your own personal marketplace with a side of contribution here and there.

Also, am I reading this right, you are selling your spot for a vagabond or do you actually have it in hand to sell?

    Care to enlighten me?

Happy to chat about my post as well, and also to learn how it can be edited (if need be) to remain public as I do not wish this user to cause others to lose money

Everyone just for some clarity on the selling places thing, not directly related to conversation at hand. TW has some direct rules on buying and selling that need to be adhered to.

Although, if the need arises to where you have placed an order and deposit with us but need to cancel and want someone to take your spot, we are ok with you finding someone to take your place. However, that’s something between the two parties, not VO and all the forum rules need to followed.

I hope you all understand and we are thankful for the TW community, but it is their house and therefor their rules.

Looks like I have to directly address this. I will do my best to be extremely mature about it since it's on a vendors thread. This is a one and done post, and I personally hope his post and mine are both deleted and keep this thread clear of BS.

To give back story, @Babish_SD contacted me in the beginning of January to take the spot from me. I sold my truck and was looking to purchase something new - Ended up buying another Tacoma. On Jan 27th (I believe), he told me he could have the money for the spot on Feb 17th when he pulled out his stocks. I agreed to that date, that on Feb 17th, I'd have the money for the spot and be done with it. At this time I have maybe 10 people inquiring about the spot, all ready to buy it. But no, I decided to give this guy a chance because he asked first.

Please read how I did not ever ask for 5k, which is more than the deposit value. He offered it himself.

    Screen Shot 2020-02-19 at 8.57.58 PM.jpg

Fast forward a couple weeks - I have expenses that need to be paid for by the 20th of this month. We first agree to meet on a Saturday, but I'd be out of town, so we reschedule to meet Wednesday (today, the 19th). This is a hard deadline. If someone schedules to meet with me on a certain day & time, I meet them and hold my end up.

I got a text saying that he had been in a car crash with pictures to prove it. That fucking sucks - I'm sorry for that happening, and the timing couldn't have been worse. He also says how he can not afford the spot in full on the date agreed. He offered partial, less than half, but unfortunately that wasn't enough. I told him that the spot had gone to the second person in line, which it has unofficially. Luckily for me, I have very close friends who were willing to help me in the situation.

I'm not here to say what I did was not wrong - I should have been able to wait 2-3 more days. However I already waited 20+ days. I apologized to him, and to the mods for this being posted in a vendors thread. Phil, Iggy, and the members work hard to keep this clean of drama. I was hoping you wouldn't try and bother posting on here, but I was wrong.

And the instafamous line was good. I truly wish that was true, because I'd love some free stuff. Instead, I get DM's on DM's asking the best lift kit under $200 or what size tires fit on x, and unlike the true instafamous guys, I take the time out of my day to help them out because nobody else is answering them. @Iggy - I apologize for posting this on your companies thread, but I decided to defend myself just a little. I will not, however, be responding to this thread regarding this matter again, or giving out any information about @Babish_SD other than tagging him.

And to address you directly - @Babish_SD I'm sorry I couldn't give the spot to you, I truly am. You waited just as long, and even a crash too. I'd be happy to buy you a beer and as grown men talk truck or stocks.

I got the pre-wired solar option and Phil installed a gland in the roof that the wires feed through. I had them run the wires down to my house battery. My thoughts were to have all the punctures of the camper exterior made at the factory. I think Phil knows how to seal these up way better than I do. He also installed three sets of awning quick connects.
