I ordered a front runner windoor for the passenger side to help with changing lanes and L tracks on the drivers. I’m not going to hanging out in it a lot during the day so I didn’t think I needed the extra light. I figured the extra factory insulation would be worth it and it looks great. I don’t think I could do as good of work at home.

I got the insulation package and I have been very happy with it. I like the clean look, and since I didn’t get side windows, it provides quite a bit of insulation. The factory package doesn’t cover the front window area, near the cab. I would love to replicate the factory look with insulation around the front window. Does anyone have any idea where you can get the ACM e-panel?

I went with the following options.
    • Slider Cab Window
    • Lower Level Lighting
    • Interior Ceiling Light
    • Side Insulation with paneling
    • Passenger and Driver Solid Frontrunner Gullwing Doors
    • Prewire for solar
    • Maxxair Fan
    • L track
    • Relentless bedrail mounts installed prior to drifter being put on.

I plan on color matching the drifter when I get it. With powder coating it really depends on the person doing it. Also the white is not a 100% match, plus there is not clear coat on the PD. So I decided to just color match it. Or paint it whatever color I choose.

Downsides of PD, for me at least. Questionable quality, not 100% colormatched, no clearcoat, I can get color matching for cheaper.

Latest update from Phil was in approximately 2-3 weeks the parts for my Drifter will arrive. They are just trying to get the current batch done and out.

The table top we use was a temporary piece of wood that turned into a permanent piece of wood when we started covering it with stickers from our travels.

I always thought it would be neat to do the same up in the front once the table is retired and insulate behind it.

What are the height dimensions measuring from the top of the bedside to top of the roof (without tent open and deployed)? Wondering if by chance this would fit into my garage installed.

Also, does anybody have pictures of the camper powder coated grey? Wondering how the grey would look with the OEM cement grey on my truck.

    THanks

I was told by Phil it’s 32”, not including the fan.

I’ve seen some pics of the grey PC, I think in this thread.

Thanks. I know you paid by phone but it's probably on the receipt most vendors usually email for proof of payment. When is yours due for pickup?

@Jrgymie actually I think it was 31” above the bedrails that Phil stated, so depending on your suspension and dumping the OEM bed caps maybe you’ll fit. I’m right on the edge so we’ll see.
If not, some crazy ass on here cut some of the header out of his overhead door to fit (even with the exhaust fan). Clean finish job BTW, I might do the same if need be.

Hey, that was me! I resemble that comment! :D

Seriously, though, I have to make a correction to your statement: I did NOT cut any of the header out of my garage. That would be a terrible idea. Don't cut structural headers out of your buildings, folks - bad things could happen and you might end up dead.

I cut the siding and trim down TO the level of the header, and left the header fully intact. I only needed a notch for the fan area - I made a notch about three feet wide, then re-finished the area using a really unorthodox zero-height method and painted it to match. Doesn't look perfect but I simply do not give a flip. :)

@joeydurango: Sorry for going off in a tangent. Only because I am such an old fart...
"I resemble that comment"... tell me you are purposely doing a Terence Aloysius "Slip" Mahoney malaprop. Because if yes, I caught it and appreciate it!

I am working on collecting specs and measurements for the drifter. I think this could be helpful for anyone planning Drifter builds while they wait. Maybe it is the engineer in me, but I love a good set of specs for a product.

If anyone has a copy of specs from early on in this thread, I would appreciate a DM. I know someone collected some great info then got banned or left the forum and deleted his account. I would like to put up a replacement thread with some similar info.

Just a heads up, I am order VO-122 and I learned today that my build will be ready in April. I generally don't like to intercede in vendor communications on timeline but in this case vendor communication has been sparse so hopefully this will be helpful to others.
