    @Overlanerd

do you know how much will the insulation and paneling will add to the weight?

if a side door were to be added, would it come insulated with the insulation package?

curious on how this will be executed, and might have a few things to add to an existing order. thanks!

    Thanks again for your order!

The side insulation adds approximately 8 lbs/ side. The paneling is a composite material skinned with painted aluminum, and the insulation is closed cell foam board.

With a side door and insulation, the paneling will be cut-out (obviously!) and an appropriate flange will be used to accommodate the thickness.

The door will not be insulated, but we'll look into this.

If you have any other questions on your order, please feel free to e-mail us directly! Thanks again!

Thanks! Some of the locking mechanisms I've seen would make it hard to insulate, curious what the doors look like. Trying to decide on one or the other i guess (door vs. insulation package vs. both). Planning for lots of cold nights and keeping the lady comfy. Count me in for the propex controller panel. I'll ping on e-mail for specifics.

haha saw that too. Did Iggy write that and Nicole leave it on? Or did Nicole add that to pay homage to Iggy? Deep thoughts on a Friday morning...

    Update on standing room:

For the DCSB, the height is 6'-7" at the cab wall.

For the Long beds, it's 6'-1" at the cab wall.

    8'-6" at the peak.

That's for 2nd gens with the factory bedcaps on. add 1.1" to both measurements for 3rd gens.

Checkout the windoors on the snugtop rebel. They lift up on struts for complete access but also have a middle slider with a screen. I love them although I'm selling my shell for a drifter. The screens are great when traveling with a dog. As for making screens, I made some big ones for my shell as well for camping in hot weather.

Sorry if I missed this but why does the LB have less standing room at the cab? Does the sleeping platform not extend as far over the cab? I would think the front 1/2 (cab over) portion of the drifter would be the same on the SB and LB and that the LB would just be a foot longer in the back.

This is just at the cab wall becuase the front window is closer to the front of the wedge. Really the standing room is more, but if you wanted to stand at the very front of the bed the standing room is slightly less.

Thanks... So the part of the drifter that extends over the cab is shorter on the LB than the SB?

DCSB vs LBAC is the same overhang, but where there is door on the SB there is bed on the LB. You're just trading bed for interior space but the over hang is the same on both. On the DCLB the overhang is less.
