    He needs time to build our Drifters!

    Joking with you but that’s the greatest thing about those guys that they will take the time to do that for an interested client. When I placed my order last year they were gracious to let me stop by, open up their Drifters in the parking lot and answer all my questions as I mozied around the shop checking out how they build these things.

    They have way more work than we know but they will still take the time to make people happy with their purchase/decisions.

    It isn't simply Phil, Iggy (Chris, et al) that are the best. It is many of the original owners and contributors to this forum that deserve thanks. For me (probably for many) my first introduction was @Anderson original walkaround.
    My wife and I were invited to check VODs out at a small show outside SF. Here is a pic from that show, and I believe the owner might be @MJonaGS32.
    Someone start that VODO group already and we can start our meetups after this COVID19 business ends.

    $8k is a decent price for a 3rd hand Drifter with a driver side windoor.
    If it were powdercoated, I'd consider swapping mine out for this.

    • Powdercoated white on the roof and undecided on the body.
    • Windoor on one side. I'd skip the Frontrunner since I don't need to fit a 35" tire out the bed.
    • Roof fan.
    • Pre-wired for solar
    All these things I can DIY on my current Drifter, except for how the powdercoat comes from Vagabond since it is inside and out. If I really wanted to coat my bare aluminum one, I would have it painted on the exterior.

    I’m sold on black bottom but was going to go bare on top (would clear coat if I could). Sorta a neat freak with stuff...

    Oh, I would also put in a custom request for the slide out bed panel to be 10" longer than normal so that I had a one-piece extension rather than the normal one and a separate one. I sleep with the mattress pulled away from the wedge hinges about 10" and fill the gap between platforms with a 2x6" board currently.
