From what I saw yesterday they have a bunch in production and a few completed campers.

I just put down 50% on my drifter today. It’s sounding like it will be a long wait but I am very excited!! I have not gotten a number yet. How/when did everyone get theirs?

It's on your email receipt or invoice. Something like VO-1234.

Does that mean that you JUST placed an order?

Are you sure it's that high of a number? The largest one we are tracking in the spreadsheet is currently 249, which was ordered on July 15, 2020.

That would be amazing if Vagabond was able to take in 1,092 new orders since July.

As mentioned, these order numbers aren't directly correlated to place in line for a Drifter/Nomad since they sell other items (Goose Gear, ARB, Baja Designs, et al).

1341 is what is says. Hmmmm might be a lil while. It said 12 month lead time. So should be ready in around end November next year. Are folks really waiting a lot longer than that?

Yeah I emailed them last week about lead times. I think Phil said about 1 year out.

I placed my order on 10/29/19 in person & never received a build# on my invoice either.

Well, I'd guess your VO-number is between 186 and 193 according to other people reporting their payment dates and order numbers.

Oddly enough, dust can come from under the bed caps, as well as from the metal bed rail that runs the inner length of the truck. I sealed off everything after not doing it and finally, no more dust.

That's what I was alluding to. The bedsides cover the bed, the bed's surface underneath the bedsides is uneven. Trust me on this. I've owned a Habitat since 2016 and know all about dust intrusion.

Have you removed the bedsides and actually looked at the top of the bed?

Thats pretty sweet. I plan to do that color scheme too

Did you not powdercoat the top to avoid it getting so hot in the bed area?

Lol. 50% of this thread is us complaining about lead times being longer than a year.

Strange to hear Phil is still telling people a year.

    That’s a pretty good guess...I ordered on 11/05/19 with a VO#187.

It looks like @Kbails is new here on TacomaWorld, and probably hasn’t read all 234 pages of this thread (yet).

We don’t know what’s going on business-wise with employee capacity, suppliers and materials, but with that recent secondhand update, we can just guess that things are looking better down the road for production.

Was mostly a financial choice. I would've loved the sides of the top to have been powder coated (leaving the roof bare) but didn't want to pay extra for the section. I figured I could always vinyl wrap it later if the color bugged me. After a year of having it, I dont mind the color difference at all and kind of breaks up the dark color nicely.

I saw it in the Expedition Portal classifieds section (which I monitor daily). Sorry, looks like he sold it already. From the comments it looks like he posted the sale late Tuesday and sold it to the first person who contacted him the next day.

To be fair, I think VO is doing their absolute best to recover and ramp up their production schedule under extraordinary circumstances (taking into consideration their resistance to scaling up because they believe that would affect quality, which I think is a good decision). I don't think a 12 month lead time on new orders is out of the question. But of course no one knows what the next 12 months will bring in terms of supply and vendor delays. So... we'll see.
