An older friend who has long acted as a mentor recently sent the book to me. Poetry has never been my thing, but I have to say there are some real gems in there for men in the modern age, wondering what the hell is happening to the world around us and how we fit in. Some of them go right over my head and some land with a punch...

The video was stellar, a well considered review of details largely missing from review vids until now.

Just ordered "The Rag and Bone Shop of the Heart" after reading the reviews and some excerpts. Thanks for spotting it and commenting, have been looking for something like this.
Really looking forward to diving into it, thanks!

Based on this there are still 17 builds in front of mine. I'm guessing my April estimate is vaporizing. Guessing it will be June or July now... unless there are 10 sitting there waiting on one part.

@Swatdude1 im one behind you...and I’m tempering my expectations for hopefully august. But hopefully you’re right and they have a bunch sitting waiting on a part to finish...oh and I need the border to open as I live in Canada...

Wow. I really appreciate your build. That's exactly what I have in store for mine. Can you fill me in on a couple things...
    1. What material did you use for your cabinet tops? It appears textured some how.
    2. What did you end up using for the base material on the bed for cabinet mounting?

Looks really nice! Thanks for sharing

    Thanks! Answers:

    1) My cabinet tops and aisle floor covering are actually thick yoga mat, cut to the shapes I wanted. Comfy, insulating, and really easy to clean.

    2) The baseplate is 3/8" plywood with t-nuts for the cabinet bolts. I went a lot thinner than most folks do in a bid to save weight - 1/2" or 5/8" is pretty heavy. Works well so far, the only downside is that it's more flexible than the thicker options, so the floor does bow slightly at the attachment points, even though I have spacers underneath. Not a functional problem at all, just doesn't look as clean. I'm happy with the tradeoff.

Awesome! I dig it. I was planning on getting rid of my bed mat and it will certainly account for the weight of a plywood like yours. Thanks again!

The ultimate surf camper. Highly recommend doing L-Track from Vagabond since it’s hard to get 100” pieces (and expensive). Anywho figured I’d share since a lot of people wait for theirs and watch this thread...!

We all know Vagabond is superior to the rest. Let’s keep this thread about them and less about the inferior competitors

    About halfway done...
I’m way to busy to have a build tread so here is my current project. I didn’t get the L track installed because it was a bit short.
I learn to glue metal together during covid so I’m a bit new.
Here is 110” of L track. The plastic end pieces take up about 3 inches. The total drifter roof is 114”
When I load boats or lumber on the roof I wanted to protect both ends of the roof.
Haven’t decided on load bar yet. Open to suggestions
