I'm just down the road, but I'm sure they could get closer/easier access to Red Salsa Taco, (whose TW name I forget, otherwise I'd tag them here). They already have one of their racks.

Looks like quite a few folks have gotten a white/silver top and a black base. Assuming for heat - white/silver is more reflective. Is that correct? If so, how's that holding up/are you finding it effective?

Been going back and forth on it. Haven't had the chance to finalize (hope to by end of summer!) but until then, information collection continues...

in went with white top, this will be my first summer with it. But I also can’t compare with a dark top. So yeah it has “held up” fine. Science dictates the white should keep things at least slightly cooler. I’d go for it if you are getting powered coat and don’t mind the two tone. It’s a really hard thing to answer as I’m sure no one here has two drifters!

    LOL, fair, fair.

I'm ultimately wondering if it really impacts that much considering how reactive metal is to heat changes, I assume as it gets dark when you're inside it, it'll be cool already. I definitely prefer the aesthetic of a uniform color, but if there is a drastic impact I'd love to hear about it. Might DM you in a few months :)

@jimlangfordphotography Please post some photos from the inside of your truck bed looking at the rear door! I'm highly interested in that Arctic Tern door.

Has anyone who is currently waiting for a camper gotten any updates at all lately? Calls and messages are going unanswered. 22 months so far and I still have no idea when this thing will be ready.

You fill out the contact form? I filled one out about oh a couple months ago and they got back to me pretty quick.

Dang. I don’t know then. I think you can add the insulation when they contact you right before they start the build, but yea that sucks no response.

Is the contact form on the website? Jim Langford was just there picking up his Drifter not too long ago. He reminded me that they are only a 4 person operation. I've bugged them with an email and voicemail, but haven't heard anything since the end of 2020.
