Having no sense of how big a "batch" is or how long they expect a batch to take, or what batch I'm in it doesn't tell me much, but hope you get yours eventually.

More interesting though - is your second camper going on a Tundra?!

I wish I could answer more for you but I’m not exactly sure. From what I’ve seen, batches are 3-5 campers at a time.

It’a going on my Ram 2500. I left the Toyota family

Someone recently installed this mattress in their Drifter and gave it good reviews. The person that has it in their Drifter said it closes fine being 1" thicker than the stock mattress with bedding and pillows uptop.

Does anyone else have any feedback on it? I am thinking of purchasing and upgrading the stock mattress.

I added a 2" memory foam topper to my Vagabond mattress and haven't had any issues closing the top. I was also keeping a 0 degree sleeping bag up there but pulled it out of there on the last trip. It would still close, just took a little more effort to flatten everything down.

Last year I bought a Comfort Tech Serene Foam 2" Mattress Topper from Costco paid $100 for this topper.

Unfortunately I could not close the drifter with my bedding inside (comforter and 3 pillows). :( So I gave the topper to my friend.

Looking to replace the entire mattress now..

The stock mattress is my only complaint with the Drifter. I've been using the Exped MegaMat Duo 10 LW+ since before SuperPacific was announced.

The downside with replacing the mattress with something off the shelf is the sizing. The Exped I have fits into the channel next to the mattress and makes it less than effortless to fold it up. It's fine without a sheet, but with a sheet on the mattress, it makes it difficult to keep the sheet on and stay folded up unless you deflate it some. Fine for now while I don't have an interior build out and the Drifter is basically gear storage and bed rather than a living space.

I don't think I have a pic but I use a bungie net and secure my pillow/s to the underside of the sleeping platform. I just used self-tapping screws and put some D-rings to hook the bungie net to.

Thats a good idea, share a pic when you have it.

Once I purchase the mattress I will post my feedback on it.

Yes sir. I checked out all the other campers and they all just sucked.

Not trying to be rude to the other companies, but it seems like people forgot what build quality is. Crooked latches, rows of crooked rivets, poor sealing/caulking jobs, cheap materials, poor skinning jobs…After having a Vagabond, I was dead set on the highest build quality and thats something I only see VO offering

The Hest mattress I mentioned can be folded just like the original mattress.

I don't think she's done a full review yet, but she had some info on it in her IG stories a while back

thats a cool idea, for sure - i usually leave my pillows up top on the empty part of the platform when closing - so as i slide the platform / bed extender towards the back to hold up the tent material, i place them on that - leaving the mattress towards the front and pillows at the back

Yes that is her. I forgot who I saw that owned a Drifter that changed their mattress. Her initial review is positive.

There is a 100 day guaranteed from Hest. I might give a shot since the stock mattress sucks.

Here’s another option if you guys are interested. I have had this mattress since February and it works really well. We slept great all through our Southwest trip which was nine days and on our Montana trip over Fourth of July week for eight days. It fits down in the channels like the X pad so it does make it harder to move the platform I use my small Dewalt leaf blower to inflate and deflate so that I can leave as much bedding on the platform as I want. I can’t remember who it was but I think it was somebody in here that initially pointed me towards this mattress.

A while back I shared some feedback on a mattress I had made with help from the company producing VO’s mattress pads. Ours we had split into four sections but if you were only looking to get a new 2pc foam combo I imagine it would be cheaper than a completely new mattress. We used two inches of the premium foam that comes stock from VO glues to 1” of memory foam. It has been an amazing additions for us and the company was easy and great to work with granted I shared drawings etc with them to get dialed in. That said we spent the last few years on our stock mattress without any major complaints.

If anyone is interested in going that route let me know and I can get you in contact with them directly. I spoke with Phil on this as well to make sure it wasn’t going to impact anyone’s production orders.
