@tacomgee Looking for the 12" bed extension- can you point me somewhere to see it, or do you have any photos?

I owe this answer to @danneskjold too... please see the link to the Scanstrut Horizontal Deck seal at the bottom of this page. Just drill a hole in the lid, between the edge of the roof and the tent (so the penetration is not above the living space) and route it through the covered driver’s side corner of the tent. From there it runs under the overhang sleeping platform, drops into the wiring track, and can run to any corner. Concealed wiring.

    The extension is two 1” x 2 “ tubes connected with a few shorter 1” x 2” pieces. @tacomgee has one that’s a little different.

Thanks Phil. Are there any photos to accompany the description? I am very visual... and will help me understand how this is being used.

Is there anyone in Colorado with a Drifter? I would like to see one in person if this is an option.

    Thank you,
    John

@Overlanerd have you guys ever thought of using this type of rear door as an option for people to choose from a standard tailgate or one of these.

I apologize if this has already been asked and answered but I'm curious as to how many of you guys that now own a drifter have it on your daily driver?
...and (I realize it depends on tires/ wheels and lift but) if it is on your daily driver, how much of an annoyance is it to not be able to park in parking structures or go through drive throughs if it affects it at all?

I have a fan, 2x 100W solar panels, and L track on my roof and I definitely need new struts. They were perfect on Zero with nothing on the roof, but I have to push it up the last inch or so from the inside now - not a big deal.

Maybe the expected weight of added items on the roof could be factored into the build when selecting options. I think the fan, L track and solar panels are very reasonable and desirable additions for most people.

    Stiffer struts or stiffer springs?
