I would just coat it and then hose it off. Easy cleanings.

As someone who details, i would not recommend using that wash media.

What version of a Drifter is this? Other pictures I found of this Tacoma the Drifter front looks different, back window is different, and also the overall shape looks a bit different than the current Drifter.

I love the color match look. If I order the Drifter can I have it color matched. This owner in the picture got his color matched prior to picking it up.

    I'm really loving this look.

That was the V1 prototype (someone correct me if I’m wrong).

What changes have been made from the V1 to the current? For some reason the V1 looks sleeker and fits the Tacoma better than the current. Not sure, or maybe the color matching looks just looks awesome and transforms the look.

You’re only looking at that single picture, which is also at 2 unusual angle planes.

yeah its a V1 cant remember his TW handle at the moment. Phil will correct me if I am wrong but the one above and @OutbackHack pretty much had them made separate of the drifters development to their own specifications. for the most part all of the V1's roaming around are one offs.

There were a lot of changes from V1. Completely different structural composition, Both equally rad!

Not the best representative photo showing a wrap. I had the lower portion wrapped. The upper portion I plan on doing something akin to a clear bra wrap.

The main difference I know between v1's and the drifter is that v1's have a square aluminum tube skeleton frame with a thin aluminum skin on the outside. Just like those Tradesman bed shells ;)

The drifter is made in a way that it doesn't need that tube frame.

How much time do you have? :)

395 is a good way through Oregon, but to the east there are better ways. At Lakeview if you head east to Denio, near the Nevada border is Bog Hot Springs (natural, a creek). Or, along the same route, from 140 after Adel, you can turn up north into Hart Mtn Antelope refuge. There is a hot springs campground not far from the ranger station. However if you continued up Hwy 205 from Denio, you can hit Fields which has amazing burgers, shakes or breakfast (pancakes are actually pan cakes, like the size of a pizza and about 1" in the middle). Just south of Fields if you turn east to Whitehorse Ranch (on whitehorse ranch road) is one of the better hot springs in Oregon, Willow Creek. There is also Alvord Desert and Steens Mountain from a fork north at Fields, one takes you along the base and to the Alvord desert (not a fan of Alvord hot springs), the other keeps on highway toward Frenchglen and you can turn east onto the south or north loop roads to go up and on Steens Mountain (one of the most amazing features in Oregon aside from Crater Lake). You can also access Hart Mountain easily from hwy 205 by turning west near the south Steens loop road.

Then you kind of funnel into Burns and can catch 395 on up. Sumpter is interesting. The Chinese mercantile tour in John Day from Oregon State Parks is interesting. The underground tour in Pendleton is interesting. You could also latch onto OBCDR rt 5. I like the section from where 395 hits hwy 20 near Riley on up to where it hits I-84 near La Grande. The section from I-84 north gets you up on a nice ridge for camping.

There is way too much out in that empty SE Oregon land.. Malheur refuge is drivable up from Frenchglen, and should be getting prime for bird migration now, French round barn, the hot springs, wild mustangs, tons of petroglyphs, caves, Steens Mtn (which imo should be the priority), Diamond Craters, on and on!

Now I want to take a drive out there. :D

One note about tires- you can get into some areas of gravel with a lot of obsidian (Indians farmed from Glass Butte on Hwy 20, and then hunted all over SE Oregon, cows churn it up). I have never had a problem and have been way further out than many in that country, but I would have a good spare and a tire plug kit along. It is lonely country. Which is why I like it.

To give an idea, I have many pics of Steens, Hart and the SE area mixed in with the rest of the state Oregon album- https://photos.app.goo.gl/J6jPgKUcPNuNSLuM6

Back to the regularly scheduled program..

Yousir deserve a beer!! Thanks for the tips, I have really two weeks, but am banking on 5-6 days to make it back to my buddies for beers, but that can be pushed out a bit as well.

    Greatly appreciated.

As a fellow lover of Eastern OR, you've covered all the high points nicely. The Hart Mountain hot spring is my personal favorite, an amazing spot that no one goes to because its a few hours from anywhere.

    Guys/Gals,

In need of a reputable tyre shop close to the drifter hatchery. Im enroute to get my drifter, and my front right tyre has seen better days.

Looking for bfgko2’s, size 34x10.5 17 inch rim. Going on a lifted taco, so they need yo know how to align lifted tricks. .

DO NOT go to Big O in Benicia...

I’ve heard good things about this location.

You could also source BFG’s through the local Costco in Vallejo.
