On a side note first night was
Spent off sr89 by truckee. Just in a pull out by a river. It was raining and I wasn’t driving around the national forest without a map to find some dispersed camping, plus we were both ready to crash by about 7.

Quick and easy setup! Although it was damn cold lastnight. My pup burrowed her way under the covers and lied up against me. Think i’ll be picking up a buddy heater, hose and propane tank today in reno. As much as the snuggle time with the pup is great me sleeping is even better!

I tried having the dog sleeping up with me once. It was a night filled with no sleep and worry that the dog would fall off of the platform. She has a bed setup down below now.

And I rock the buddy heater myself. It’s a wonderful thing.

That’s funny, my dog would throw a fit if she wasn’t sleeping where I was sleeping. It’s pretty often that she will prematurely take herself to bed.

One of my favorite parts about the Drifter is how easy it is to get your dog in. No more trying to maneuver.a 50lbs dog over your shoulders into an RTT

Yeah, Lulu(my dog) prefers to sleep near me. Not with me. For 35lb furball, she finds a way to take up the entire bed when she wants to...

I like the lower lighting option! I am also eagerly awaiting the insulation for my shell now that I see the FrontRunner design is finished.

Front runner doors are mandatory. I have them on both sides. i’d slso suggest the bed extension. I’m’ 6foot and its a tight squeeze at the end with my feet. Wish i would have gotten that option.

Buddy heater works pretty well. Were camped up on a ridge where it is very windy tonight. putting the heater to the test, think i’ll need to find the hose and adaptor for a 20lb tank then i can actually run it on high and get it warm in here, and then tuen it back when we go to sleep. Windows/fan grate are open for ventilation with the buddy heater.

As it is right now its cool’ish not hot. The lower compartment beneath the bed is toasty. And the bed platform is very warm. Se eohoto of dog and me warming up our feetsies, well me my hands.

Oh and some shots of where we are camped. Completely exposed. Needless to say the pups on guard duty with every leaf and piece of tumble weed blowing by.

Haha, all too familiar with "guard mode," though my dog's preferred time for that is when we're already in the tent/camper trying to fall asleep.

By the way, I'd be really interested to get your take on how the BP-51s work out for you with the camper now installed.
That's what I'm currently leaning towards, though possibly with a custom spring pack.

So far the bp-51’s are doing fine. As is the hd ome leaf pack with the add a spring. I’m worried my spc uca’s are shot as I have a good awful squeak from the front end granted thats probably just fine dust in the joints. Going to see if I can find a shop to put in total chaos uppers on the way back. . Wasn't aware the I could use them with lca and a none long travel truck, was what I originally wanted . Oh to be able to grease the joints, almost brings tears to my eyes.

Her guard mode is at noght too. Pretty much if a leaf blows by that sucksrs getting an earful and if it doesnt stop shes in attack mode hehe. The guys at the shop can attest to how mean my lik pup is.

That is the front runner window, I am on my cell phone or was, so I thought there was another pic below that showed the window.

Best upgrade you can get for the drifter, bar none. Sexy, functional, bomb proof( wouldn’t be surprised if you rolled the drifter if the doors came out unscathed), we already know the drifter is tough from fellow member already rolling it.
