We recommend going with about 100lbs in the roof, evenly distributed. It’s defiantly stronger but with upgraded struts the additional weight would have to be constant.

We do have a locking bar in place for that reason exactly, however we do have a pitched roof to help with shedding of material off the top.

Thanks for your interest! We are really excited get more of these out on the road.

For those getting a Drifter could you post your suspension, especially rear suspension, setup?

That site sucks and is full of ads. Why not use instagram's site? https://www.instagram.com/mjonags32 Then click on the profile photo (that round image left of the username). That's where you can view stories.

For future self, here are some links to the videos. Let's see if Instagram just removes them from the app but still stores them on the server:

Darn, I didn't check that, but people should be able to click on the links I posted and go directly to the videos within that story without having to log in - possibly even more than 24 hours from now when the story itself is gone.

The only window that opens up to the outside it the rear one. The sides have 3 parts, outer mesh(fixed), clear zippered window and zippered curtain. All of the windows roll to the bottom.

So stoked for you guys! Wish I could have made the trip.

You can access the top through the rear window. The privacy panel (same material as tent) unzips and so does the screen. For the side windows, the privacy panel and clear vinyl window unzip. The mesh is fixed.

But with the sleeping platform deployed, there is still 30” of standing room and entry from the main door makes the most sense. It will definitely be cool to slide the sleeping platform extension to the rear, and hang out with the large rear window for sunsets. And epic shots for the gram...;)

I upgraded from Icon aal to OME Medium pack for now. It’s perfect for the truck (with no buildout/gear) so I may eventually go with the heavy. Time will tell.

I have a custom deaver pack and BAMF relocation kit with King 12” smoothies, superbump bumpstops, and extended brake lines

Right before the Drifter went on:
    65501485-3CFC-43A5-9E5A-5E2E27854F9F.jpg

    After
    63A4568F-2ED9-4C23-8D2C-633926B3D8EB.jpg

But you also have to consider the extra weight that’ll be added once you build out the interior (drawers, water tank, etc)

^that's the thing...the topper itself isn't heavy...it'll be the fridge, drawers/cabinets, insulation and other interior additions that will be the issue.
