I have a Frontrunner on my driver side and use it all the time. I'd suggest at least one.

@MapJunkie Since I haven't seen anyone that has gone this route yet...I decided to do standard windoors on both sides. I wanted the views and the bed access, but didn't feel like paying the premium for frontrunner doors. I also considered windoor on one side and frontrunner on the other. You can mix and match however you want to meet your needs and price range (I think).

Although not yet in possession of my drifter, I chose “solid” windoors on both sides. I also had a difficult time with this option, but after camping with different pickups and toppers for about 20 years, climbing in and out of the back all the time is getting supremely old. After careful evaluation (obsession), I went with access on both sides. Vagabond was accommodating to my changes after placing my deposit.

Maybe contact them and see if they’ll do the same for you.

I also added to my order after making my deposit. Hopefully @Iggy or @Overlanerd will chime in if this isn't true, but they didn't seem to mind me updating my order. I'm sure they'd appreciate if you have everything finalized before they start building though.

@MapJunkie you can definitely make changes after your deposit. There are some items that need confirmed earlier than others, but with the current lead time, there is plenty of time. I would suggest getting it in so we can hold a spot for you.

I had the windoors on both sides as well. I absolutely think one is essential, but depending on how you build out your bed the second may end up being blocked. YMMV.

It my case there was a mixup and I ordered one but got two (good mixup for me I guess). I ended up blocking the second door with externally mounted maxtrax anyways.

I had windoors on my ARE cap back in the day and was certain that I would not own another cap or camper shell without them. After building out our flippac, which did not have them, I realized I didn't miss them as much. We almost always had the windows covered in the flippac anyway which when it came to the drifter, we decided that solid, insulated walls would be good. To date I haven't had a time I needed a windoor, although I always knew and have no issue adding one down the road if our needs change. I guess you have to be ok with cutting a hole in your camper lol

In the meantime the solid sides make great usable space for mounting things and stuff! seen here with some maxtrax

Having said that, if you think at any point you may want a window or windoor, just check the option box on your drifter order and have done! Phil will give that PYT some TLC and you don't ever have to worry about it!

Nice. I need to find a nice light bike for trips like that. My KLR is way too heavy to want to hang like that.

Jumping back on the windoors, do the solid windoors with handles come in any other color other than white?

I've got dual standard windoors on mine. They were key for me because they allowed me to build out the interior in a way that 90% of my storage is accessible from inside and out (to avoid climbing in all the time while camping).

A couple pics of them that may or may not be helpful:
