I looked for it around 6:00 pm EST (- 5 GMT) and it wasn’t there. Just checked again a few minutes ago and it was there.

I’ll test out my theory next Tuesday

 

Decent episode. Maybe a transition type episode.

 

Episode 6 is pretty good. Some parts great. Opening scene, acting very good.

 

Uggg. I can’t believe it’s Thursday. Totally spaced on testing out my Tuesday GMT theory. Been swamped with work. I’ll set a reminder for next week.

Edit: ‘Prescient’ might fit.

The once a week release is a PITA for sure.

 

Doesn't bother me much. Makes sense for them to do.
Just wish people weren't babies about it.
A lot of people rated it 1 star on Amazon because they're doing weekly release, not based on the actual quality of the show.

 

That’s not right but then again, we’re becoming a country of snowflakes..

Curious though. I wonder what benefits or drawbacks are there for streaming services to release these shows en masse or at a trickle?

 

I mean, if you release the whole show at once and then everyone binges it in a weekend.. That's it.
If you release it over the course of seven weeks, people are talking about it for seven weeks.

 

For sure but it’s not like Amazon is selling commercials....

Still brings people to their site/platform.
'Amazon Originals' only have ads for other Amazon originals at the beginning of the episode, I think..
They also offer 'channels' through subscriptions (STARZ, CBS, AMC+, SHOWTIME, etc.) as well as free channels like IMDBTV, which is not ad-free.

Plus any new subscribers with Prime itself being ~$100 a year.

 

I am holding off from watching this new season so I can binge it all at once and have my mind blown....lol

 

It's too elaborate for me to remember all that I saw in previous episodes. It's a good thing there are recaps or else I'd be lost sometimes. Might as well start watching season 1 now, I'm sure this season will be over before you get to it.

 

And not unsubscribing.........

 

I have a theory that they're testing the waters for another show that they have in the works. Sometime late this year/next year they will be done with Wheel of Time, which could be the replacement for GoT if it's done well. There are 14 books in the series, so it's a very dense world that may benefit from people having a week to digest and discuss
