Deputies Chase, Arrest Carjacking Suspect in Spring Valley

Glad you're ok OP. I am from SD as well and am fond of picking stuff up from craigslist but always meet them at a public area. I try my best to meet them before dark and take all necessary precautions but if held at gunpoint, I know I don't really have much chance.

It's easy to recover the material things that get stolen, it's forgetting it ever happened and the whole experience that's hard. Somebody broke into my car during super bowl last year and now I can never trust some neighbors within my apartment complex and I am always paranoid about triple checking if i locked my car.

    Stay safe!

WOW...That is the craziest story I've ever heard. Really sorry that happened to you OP! Really happy you are still here to tell your story and we're not listening to a different news story.

As for CCWs in California it's gotten much easier to get them over the last few years. Orange County is now a shall issue county. Los Angeles County is still fighting to resist going to shall issue. It probably won't win it's legal fight just like Orange County didn't.

I'm glad I live in a state that hands out CCWs like parking tickets but you don't need one to feel safe.

Wow, sounds pretty brazen. Do you think additional situational awareness would have helped? I mean recognize shaddy character, turn around walk back in store, and wait till they leave or call cops type resolution? Or was there no way to have not waked into it?
