Taps into dash lights so the bottom strip light on the switch comes on with them.

Your switch covers are on backwards. The line is supposed to light up when the switch is turned on, and off when turned off....unless you like it this way...

That's what I kept saying. Apparently you can get upper OR lower independent LED's now. All of mine are as you described, like they should be IMO.

I kinda like it this way. I'd rather have the bigger light indicating it's on and this is the way it was shown in the instructions I had from otrattw. Not sure about yours but the colored lens that's over the bulb looks like a kaleidoscope when it's on, I can't tell what the logo on it is.

That's why contura v switches are the shit son. I know what you mean, I have the contura II switches in the 4Runner and it's hard to see the label when lit up. I'm gonna put something over the LED's to dim them a bit.

It doesn't really bother me, I know which one is which so they satisfy my needs. Super happy with how they came out.

I believe it's the other way around. Directions from OTTRAW have you hook em up so the chinese eye is lit up with the dash lights and the big light on top of the switch goes on when the switch is on.

I originally liked the older contura switches but you can't tell what they are at night, thinking of maybe switching them all to contura V. Your setup turned out nice Luke! So do you have red and blue fog lights? :p

Having thoughts about how I want to store everything now that I've decided not to get a RTT and rack setup. RTT is nice but for the amount that I would get to use it I really can't justify it. Taking into account wear and tear from being on the truck year round and extra weight/wind drag causing further gas mileage reduction its just not worth the cost at least at this point.

Thinking about a homemade drawer system like this and this and having a homemade bed slide to sit on top. That way I still have the full length of the bed, just not full depth which really isn't a big deal. This way I have a place to store my gear here at school so I don't have to rent a storage unit or drive back to VA if I want it for a weekend. Obviously the drawers would have to be water tight since I don't want to put a shell or other kind of cover on the truck.
