Got the rig on all four wheels today.

Ran to three different auto parts stores to find what I needed. Even the dealer was out of some stock. They did have a shim kit that I needed, so I was happy about that.

I ended up having to grind some welds on both spindles, just slightly to get the caliper to clear. Success. Painted. Caliper mounted flush, torqued proper, installed pads, shim kit, pins, clips, springs, silicone grease. Checked springs and pins three times for proper assembly and operation. Clearance checked at pads, dust shield, rotor, spindle, brake bracket, wheel speed sensor, wheel itself. Torqued axle nut, reinstalled aluminum retainer nut and cotter pin, and reinstalled dust cover. All good.

Returned rental tools. Learned that I can get a full refund on the duralast pads that I ran for 15K miles, will be doing that soon.

When I reconfigured the shocks I chose the 4th highest circlip setting. After the rig was set down I rolled it back and forth on my driveway to get the suspension to cycle some.

Bottom line is truck may be too high in the front. I may see if it settles some, or I might pull the coil out and lower circlip.

    Undecided right now.

    Probably get alignment tomorrow.

Looking Good!! Better than New!

Did you add a extra spring to each caliper? My '14 only has one per side. I read on the Forum that some peeps add them to combat some Brake noise. Thanks.

Thanks. Yes. Factory only provides one spring per caliper. I don't know why. I've run two spreader springs per caliper for the last 15K miles, 1.5 years.

I'm happy with my jack, except it makes a squeak noise now :notsure: it's a jack and it lifts and holds.

Luckily for me my brakes have been quiet.

Hard to beat the HF jacks. Great value, IMO

Same here. Happy. No noises yet. :D

I snugged the LCA cams down, and went to alignment shop.

Shop: Alignment. Great, Mr Crom. Has any suspension components been replaced recently?
    Me: yes.
    Shop: Which ones?
    Me: All of them! Muhahaha!

I spoke to the tech, and explained things so he didn't freak out he discovers that the cams were only mildly tight, etc.

Be careful of anything socket related from HF.
I love my HF toolchest and floor jack. All my sockets got mixed during my last move and every time I snap a socket I bet myself it's a HF one and I'm 4 for 4.

I use there 3/8 and 1/2" Torque wrench and have had good luck. I and also picked up a 1/2" drive star point set today. I just tried it on one on my bed bolts and it worked fine. Getting ready to add the rear bed supports. Thanks for the heads Up!

I had my steering column intermediate shaft replaced under warranty for a technical service bulletin in July of 2010. It was a legitimate problem of driving over washboards and uneven surfaces made the steering wheel feel like it was going to fly off or rattle off, was pretty bad, the updated part completely solved it.

I have no idea why a 2015 would have the problem you're describing but it sounds like the bad part got into production again I think you're not alone.

If I were you I would file a claim with the dealer and let them try to solve it for reference here's the technical service bulletin that solved it for me

New floor Jack update. I checked the hydraulic fluid level , and had to add about 1/2 a pint. Might want to check Your fluid level.

    +1

I bled my jack when I bought it. I think the directions said to. Works well.
