    I'm pretty sure the head on the '85 was rebuilt. It's clean as hell. Bottom end is worn though. So... How much you pay to pull that head?

    I'm going to try to pull it myself. That's why I'm waiting until January because after I graduate I'm going to focus on that until it is finished.

    My friend keeps telling me to drop a turbo in while it's all out. Sounds pretty tempting.

    I don't think the brushes in the motor can handle twin terbo, but if it blows up I can just part it out and get another on sale from Walmart.

    So a lot of my pics show a pretty dirty frame, not so much rust, just mud and dirt from the previous owner. I scrubbed the heavily soiled areas, the used marine clean (spray on, scrub the really dirty areas, and hose off)

    I love the results, but it sucked being under there and scrubbing.
