So much for keeping it simple

Edit: If you dont mind my asking, ballpark how much $ for a setup like that? Looks like just about everything factory has been replaced.

What do you mean? It's still got leaf springs... seems simple to me :) But I get your point. It is a lot more involved than the previous setup. But it's still going to be somewhat understated. Low ride height, 34 x 10.5 tires, stock fenders. It'll be a nice sleeper go-fast rig.

As for the cost, I haven't added it all up yet. I bet @TOTAL CHAOS would be more than willing to give you a total though :D

New setup looks awesome!! Did you use heatshrink on the resi bracket clamps or are those some fancy clamps I don't know about? I considered heatshrinking mine but haven't gone through with it yet.. gotta protect my investment though! Stoked to see phase 2 done and in action :mudding:

That's heat shrink over the hose clamps. We also spiral wrapped the resi hoses and brake lines (not shown in the photos). Very excited to drive it. Tires and gears should be done tomorrow.

I believe that ship has sailed :) That photo is the old suspension and with the new suspension the fenders are getting cut for clearance. Won't know till tomorrow when the tires arrive how much we'll need to trim. So there won't be a fender reference point to measure to. Not much point to that measurement anyway. The goal is to keep the truck as low as we can at ride height and still get as much up-travel as the bump stops will allow.

Are you talking about the OME BP-51s I had on the truck before or the Kings with the Total Chaos +2" kit?

THE OME BP-51's. Why did you change to Kings? Longer travel?

I like. Nothing like jumping a truck with a camper on top.

Longer travel. Although that's not from just the shocks. Also involves longer upper and lower control arms, longer axle shafts, longer shocks, etc.

That’s a very complicated question:) I started the company so you could say that that particular gfc was really expensive. But we sell them for $5750.

Well the gears got finished last night (4:56 with a detroit locker in the rear) at 10 p.m. so we made some coffee and headed back to the shop to put the rest of the truck together. Worked till 3 a.m. and this is the result:

    IMG_3304.jpg

    IMG_3305.jpg

Getting an alignment now. Still needs more trimming and some nitrogen in the shocks, but we should be taking it out for some testing later today. And yes, that is the stock air dam. It's sort of a running joke at the shop that it's still on there. And it looks like with a bit of trimming it will work even with long travel. Why do we do this? Who knows. Probably because everyone else removes it and we're weird.
