Heres my first play for the comp, better posting it late than never. My intention was for this to be a quick flip to then buy the stock Ive been eyeing, but who knows anymore!

I'm still sitting on my cash trying to figure out when to put a toe in the water. Scared quite a bit by how badass everyone else is. So, that's a compliment for all of you.

Got me, GME is a once in a decade, and maybe once in a lifetime thing. You can be damn sure both the regulators and the big money is not going to let this runaway circus happen again.

 

It’s the dot com bust showing up in a very different format. Ironically, a bunch of people on a website are doing it!

Just put in my first order, buy BA at market. Hoping this announcement was the end of the bleeding. Not a huge dip but good enough to squeak out a percent or two by April.

I really want to short it but I've never done a short and I am highly not versed in the risks. But for sure this seems like the bubble of all bubbles staring us in the face.

 

History is what's happening now! I wouldn't do anything unless:

• Willing to YOLO monies
• Understand what's going on
• Invest only what you're willing to lose
• have diamond hands

 

DO NOT SHORT!!!! Thats whats causing all the craziness. Shorting stocks is a very dangerous game to play in general, but check out headlines surrounding Melvin Capital if you are really interested in it

 

Retail can't short right now. Puts are STUPID expensive. Margin rate for real borrowed shares shorting is 300%. lol

 

Ah, thanks for that. So a hedge fund closed out of their short which then caused the boom. Fascinating how action and reaction work in finance. Especially with algorithms dictating some of the knee jerk reactivity.

Side note, I work in fintec so I'm looking at the market from an interesting perspective.

And, agreed, I'm definitely not qualified to short anything other than my kids on screen time when they misbehave

Still, 2x growth in a day for a brand any 15 year old would recognize? Seems rather unusual to me. I guess this stuff happens more frequently and I typically don't pay attention to it?

 

Short squeezes do happen, but whats going on currently is for sure an anomaly
