Yeah, gotta be a manual sliding back window for an sr. My 2020 sr5 access cab originally came with the standard manual one to, but i wanted the power one which was optional.

I kinda agree with you...in that I bought a 2003 Honda Pilot EX/Leather/DVD and installed these add-ons after the fact:

    Running Boards
    Hitch Trailer
    Bull Bumper
    Roof Rack Cross-Bars

After my accident, the USAA appraiser said my add-ons added some value during total loss assessment.

But, I started off with top-of-the-line model so original build is important.

With the TRD Sport I bought last year, it had everything that was needed for my post-military retirement.

It wasn't top-of-the-line but it had just what I needed.

i just dont let fear of "what if this happens" factor into my decision making. you can go down that rabbit hole all day and night. you can also remove addons if they are not affected by the accident

I'm OK. It was a low impact accident (no long term injuries for either party).

Thats a bit different when you have an accident going through your insurance....some will do that while others will only site the value of that model build.
On another note...thank you for your service...its very much appreciated.

    Nice price!

I took my TRD Sport AT/DCSB/4X4 home for $35K out the door.

Granted, I traded in my 2010 Mazda CX-9 ($4,700) and wrote a check for $5K.

MSRP was $38,803 so the $9,700 went towards TTL + Extended Warranty, lowering purchase price.

I felt happy with the deal which included a 1.8% Vehicle Loan with my bank. (Toyota didn't like that but couldn't beat the APR from my bank)

    Overall, it's what you're willing to accept/negotiate.

SR has black interior trim instead of chrome. SR5 has fog lights.

I traded my POS 2010 Nissan Titan in toward my 2021 SR5 (39k). They gave me 9k for it (more than it was worth imo) and financed the remaining 30k via my bank. I also threw 2k at it to get my payments down to where I was comfortable

    Check build thread!
How can you look at this and say you don’t see the appeal?

SR5 adds mainly cosmetic stuff - a bit less black plastic in the interior, partly chromed rear bumpers and grille, alloy wheels - that sort of thing.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. I mean I wanted a TRD sport (scoop fanboy) but ended up with an SR5 for a number of reasons. The timing (old truck was on last legs), availability, limited options locally, destain for long beds and sun roofs.

The meetup with the salesman lasted all of about 15-20min. I held my ground on the SR5 and discovered that out of the 5 people ahead of me that have put down deposits on '22 Tacos, I am the only one wanting a 4x4! Will know at the next allocation (in 2 weeks), if a 4x4 is coming, what color it will be, and what packages will be installed. I can purchase it or pass on it.

Decision will be based mostly on color, white is preferred.

Can anyone with a '22 in blue post some pics?

Also, I am still looking for the thread that has the "free/cheap" mods that can be done on 3rd gen rigs... anyone know what I'm talking about?

I could see Long beds...but sunroof?

Do you have a roof rack?

Or does the sun roof not "tickle your fancy?"

Both SR & SR5 are solid trucks. Don't get sucked into buying the Sport Bra...
