Big thanks to Tony for the recommendation AND the time to help another member out. Good fella there.

Using his advice, I swapped out the bottom bolts for the coilovers. Toyota messed up on this design. That short shoulder is not helping to spread the load.

Info for hardware is on @tonered ’s build thread.(3rd Gen. Builds) I can’t recall which member took the time to find the info. THANK YOU.

The second picture was prior to installing the Bilsteins. The click went away when I swapped to new coilovers/bushings. So the Bilsteins were rubbing the OEM bolts the wrong way. But like the OEM hitachi’s, they were heading for an early failure.

But now with a longer shoulder to help support the sleeve, the bushing has a chance at normal wear and tear.

No, just rolling over speed bumps, or rolling into somewhat steep driveways.

Did you torque the lower shock bolts with the wheels on the ground?

Yes sir, letting the suspension settle.

Stoked to say the least. That click was annoying. Damn mint to hear the rubber on cement/asphalt contact only!

I had a clunk going over speed bumps, thought it was body mounts. Replaced stick coil overs with OME and noise is gone!

You have 5100's i thought the bolt issue was only with the struts that have a bearing instead of a bushing like kings

I have this! It only happens when in reverse, and I can hear it click a couple times when turning left to right full lock.

Are you referring to the slight clunk? I hear when I first pull out of my driveway on the front right side. I asked the dealer too and they said they found zero issues.
