I wouldn't say the 118's are too long... Only if you are running stock leafs (only 3-4 leafs, dakars aren't much taller either) with stock bumpstops they get pretty close to bottoming out when fully stuffed. I'd only be worried on harder hits if the bumps squished too much. Normally though, if you are running longer shocks it's because you've changed the geometry of the suspension.

With Deavers you are a good 1" or more taller than the factory leaf pack. Plus if you have aftermarket bumps (which you should if you are running longer shocks and taller springs) then there would be really no risk of bottoming out the 118's.

With the Deavers/ Toytec Bosses that I currently have in the rear, I have my preferred/ desired rake. My concern would also be that the 118's would give me, even more, lift in the rear.. So I ordered the 117s last night to be safe. Seems to make more sense.

Fair enough. But just FYI, shocks do not effect lift whatsoever. They are strictly dampeners. It's the springs that dictate ride height.

That's what I figured.. unloaded I think the Deaver Exp. Stage 3s are giving me about 3 inches of lift in the rear.. sure seems like it anyways. 2.5 in the front
