It's been a hot minute since I've wrenched on a stock truck. Can anyone confirm these socket sizes?

    Ones I'm unsure about are
    • Tie Rod End
    • Lower Shock Bolt
    • UCA Balljoint
    • LCA Balljoint
    • Rear shock, upper mount

19mm sounds right for the lower shock iirc.
I want to say the UCA BJ is smaller but I can't remember. I want to swap my spindles out this weekend so maybe I'll remember to let you know.
I want to say the LCA BJ is smaller too but again...
17 sounds right for the rear shock.

Ope, someone said 12mm for top nuts on front and rear shocks, but for some reason I want to say 14.

I ended up watching some install videos to figure it out.

    TRE - 19mm
    LCA BJ - 24mm
    Rear shock upper - 14mm
    Lower coilover - 19mm
    UCA BJ - 19mm

Ugh...what a weekend so far. For those of you with kids, know your local poison control number. My 2 year old super glued his eye shut yesterday...after calling our pediatrician and urgent care, they referred us to poison control because they didn't know how to handle it. Apparently even Dr's call poison control if they run into something like this they aren't sure how to handle. The call taker my wife spoke to was outstanding. She was very reassuring and helped us figure out what we needed to do to get the little guy taken care of. Turns out superglueing an eye shut isn't as bad as one might think. They told us to leave it alone and the glue would lose the bond with the skin over time (1-4 days) and his eye would open on its own. We had just taken him to the Dr on Friday because he had goopy eyes and they had given him antibiotic eye drops. They told us to continue to use the eye drops 3x a day. And he shouldn't need any further medical intervention. Today his eye is almost completely open and looks relatively normal considering. He just has a few eye lashes on the upper and lower eyelid that are still bonded near the corner of his eye, so it doesn't quite completely open yet.

Yeah, it was definitely frightening. After all, you can't really replace an eye.

But, I am happy to report as we were getting him ready for bed tonight, the last little bit of his eyelashes came loose and he can open his eye completely again. Just has quite a bit of dried glue still stuck in his eyelashes. But that should come off with time.

I skimmed through it but one thing I didn't hear them mention is if they're measuring the trans temp at the pan or the torque converter? Pan temp is a more steady temperature and a better gauge of overheating or not, torque converter is in constant flux whether or not it's locked or unlocked.

Let's assume they're measuring pan temp. Tundra hit 246 which is HOT. The fluid is degrading at that point because Toyota says the upper limit of the fluid operating range is 222. For comparison, the hottest pan temp I've seen has been 205 with the thermostat unpinned and 185 with it pinned.

Pinning the thermostat bypasses it and lets fluid circulate through the cooler from the beginning. It still gets up to temp fairly quickly but does a much better job at maintaining that temp because it's not heat soaked at that point.

Anyways, if anything that video proves that a cooler is needed. I would have preferred to see it be a 2018 tundra versus a 2019-2021 tundra in the video for a better comparison.
