Just came back from a Toyota Dealership meeting down in NYC

Tundra will get a diesel engine by 2012 at the latest, using Toyota diesels and not Cumings.
Matrix will have a total redesign by 2009
New sports car with a hybrid 6 that will go from 0 to 60 in 3 secs. Car features wrap around cockpit seating for both driver and pass.
Corolla gets a total revamp
scion gets a van
solara ends production by 2008
prius gets a new battery setup with a possible 113mpg fuel consumption, no date set
Most of toyota's lineup will have engines that will run on flex fuel similar to the former Big 3
No word on Tacoma changes as of yet
2008 Highlander similar to Rav body style being released in a week as of this posting. We have 4 in transit right now.
07.25.07 2 Highlanders arrived and they look like oversized rav 4's on steroids
Siena van will have stow away seating with a twist,(similar to crysler config) a different seat pops up with the captains chair style stowed. A wrap around couch set up in rear similar to stretch limos will be an option.

Why change the Tacoma...stick with what works....
