Seems to be a little better - but I'm hesitant..
I wander if the alignment will help once I'm done.

Is that back on the ground now? It'll still look like that drooped. Also fuck that sway bar. With new shocks I would take it off and see if you like it, if not then put it back on.

No, that was with a jack under it. It's definitely better than before, but I guess it's as good as its get. There's really no reason the UCA will go above the perch for a truck that's not going off-road.

You'd be surprised. Highway speeds and speed bump can make it happen. As long as you don't see anything touching then you'll be good. It'll be close but shouldn't touch.

Here's what mine looked like with an eBay 3" spacer.

Now with my kings, my new upper control arms, and the weight of my v8, It finally sits close to level.

Are the 2017 Trd off-road bilstein 4600 shocks front and rear a direct fit for 2006 Tacoma 5 lug? Looking to get updated shocks and may want to aal and spacer in the future. Thx.

The rears should be, although I wouldn't spend more than $25-30 on them. Ideally you'd want 5100's, but the 4600's are still an upgrade..

Ok, I've officially hit paralysis by analysis from all of the reading. Can someone help me out with the part number I need? I have a '07 tacoma 2.7l base RWD. I have had a horrible experience with the fat bobs kit. So far I have the front spacers and the add a leafs installed. From what I'm understanding I need new rear shocks, ideally the 5100's. But what is the item number? Is it Bilstein (24-186728)?

So a way back I decided to get the Doetsch uca coils springs and shackles, and am pretty pleased with the ride - but -
After everything is put together I have a groan in the driver front side on slower compression speed bumps and such. Looked everywhere cant figure it out, then I hit a nice big puddle, and everything goes quiet, rides like butter. Starts up again when weather dries out, as soon as shes wet, shes happy.
Assuming this is a lubrication issue, where should I be looking?

Hey, I had a questions about this problem. I took my 2014 5lug Tacoma in to have a pro comp lift & bilstein shocks put on, & the guy told me I needed to get an adjustable UCA because the coil was touching the factory UCA. But after reading this, it looks like I may not have to! Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to explain this to him? It would be extremely helpful!

It's super close and may touch at full droop. There are no adjustable control arms for a 5 lug. A lot of people have done this lift and have had no issues. It looks weird when it's at full droop at first but that's how it works lol.
