Nice, I have been meaning to check out the trails in that area, looks like there are quite a few to explore around there.

^Yeah, there seem to be quite a few trails out there. Do you farther south, or up near Denver?

Springs arrived yesterday. They look to be the right length but where's my poly bushing on the front end!? I'm hoping that another package arrives today.

Dude, after all this, I'm starting to feel kind of stupid. I called Alcan and they said another package with the poly bushings, u-bolts and centering pins is on the way.

I guess we'll know some time next week how it turns out...

Do you droop your axle to the stops of your shocks? ... your on the 10" short body 7100s right?

only 10'' 5150s. Not sure if i hit the ends of em or not..probably though. Im hoping to get some 12'' somethings soon though as the 5150s have leaked damn near all their oil lol ill do a shock relocate though when i get them to gain even more travel.

and hope it gets here soon. i wanna see how well these work. I still don't get how you don't droop as well as most.

    http://www.marlincrawler.com/suspension/shock-equip/bilstein-5150-series

So, it looks like our compressed lengths are almost exactly the same (about 16") but my 7100s have 2" longer extended length (I'm around 28' where you're around 26"). Right now, I'm only getting my shocks to extend to 21".

If my major gamble that binding my springs is causing my issue is correct, I'd love to see something close to what you're getting for extension. I'm hoping that the slightly better shackle angle and eliminating that bind will do it... man, I'm getting more nervous as I think about it now...

yep similar compressed lenghts. Just more droop.

I have never actually measured to be honest...droops a lot though. Can put a 33 below the sliders. So maybe going to a 12'' wouldn't be worth it till longer leafs..but i figure if i relocate them i can utlize the longer travel of a short body 7100 to keep good up travel and gain possible a bit more. I just have stock bumps now and i don't think i hit them. Granted with the 35s might not want to trim that much out of the fenders..haha

Yea will be interesting to see if there is a big bind..its odd to me why yours is so limited..

^yeah, I think the 7100 short bodies would work great on your truck. You won't have to worry about bottoming them out for now. And you'll get 2 more inches of travel. Then you can relocate whenever you want. Man your truck is going to be burly in 35s!

I think they would bottom out in stock locations. I think my 5150s did with stock bumps. Why they leaked their oil everything :p haha ill probably just relocate them. Be easy enough. Just a cross bar and some shock mounts. Nothing fancy. Fancy stuff ill save for SUA.

wouldn't mind 2-1'' more of travel though. not that i NEED it..but come on :p

yea im stoke for 35s :D

so that package coming before the weekend or what??

You're going spring under? What are the benefits with that?

Also... no package yet. It's looking like I won't do the swap till late next week now:(

And yea, im going full LT. Eventually anyways. Wanna go fast :D SUA setups offer more droop and better ride offroad. But much less load capacity. but i have plans :spy:

Wow. I want to see this... then again, you'll just make me jealous. Are you thinking about using bags with the SUA for loads? I gotta know!

No no bags. I a a second truck now..haha it'll become the load hauler. And ill build a trailer most likely.

Ill also setup my shackles a bit differently and sacrifice a bit of down travel to get a taller ride height and load capacity. H70s will actually hold a bit of a weight, so we shall see how things pan out.

I can't wait to see what you have in store. I'm a little skeptical about you running a light load in your rig though. If your like me, you'll always pack as much as you can haul.

    Absolutely!

Fingers crossed... I'm hoping that my poly bushings, centering pins and u-bolts arrive today. But, I'm not holding my breath.
