    Thanks for the compliments on the triple sticks. You're going to love them once you get them in your rig:stirthepot:

    ..and you hit the nail on the head with the reason for triple sticks. Makes life easy!

    FYI:
    When you are ready to install yours, be sure to cut the tab in the J-shift gate on the top of your t-case. Also you have to remove one ball bearing from a shifter gate to get everything to work independently.:cheers:

    So, the final installment and I'm up to date....reupholstered seats and my new shift boots! I think they turned out really nicely. The seats are MUCH more comfortable and everything looks clean and OEM.

    Project Rear Wheel Travel:

    Here are the basic numbers if I went an inch longer shackle and either 1.5" or 2" longer main leaf. (with all the extra spring length aft of the center pin)

    I'm also going with the Orbit eye bushings:

    I'm hoping that better shackle angles and the Orbit Eyes will net me 4" of additional down travel.

    I haven't ordered anything yet, so I'm open to more suggestions. The bottom line is that I want to be able to twist up that rear axle a lot more.

    Any opinions out there? (especially Blackdawg)

    That's a lot of travel. My question would be; Will there be any binding in your drive shaft at full droop?

    I'm still not really for a longer leaf..I don't think it'll help that much. Or it yes tho after seeing your pics looks like hey will help. So I guess you'll need a new main leaf.

    So maybe 1" long I guess could help.

    Nah. He won't be near Jason truck and he actually had to shorten his due to e droop he had.

    You know, that's a good question I haven't even considered. My thinking is that the extra travel will allow the suspension to "twist" while crawling and wouldn't put much additional load on driveshaft u-joints and such. But, in those occasions where you unload the rear suspension (like descending and hanging the rear bumper on a rock) there would probably be u-joint binding...

    Is that the kind of thing you were thinking of? What are your thoughts on the matter?

    Yeah, my thought was that I'll just go with the longer main leaf to get my shackle angle right. Right now, it's at 60 degrees, which looks almost straight up and down. I've got to get a new main leaf to accommodate the orbit eyes so I might as well get that geometry right. So, if I go with a 6.5"( eye to eye) shackle, and extend my main 2", I should be at 47 degrees... pretty close to perfect. The question is, while I'm at it, how can I optimize my suspension and get the most travel possible?

    Do you have any other fresh ideas? I'd like to do this one time and do it right.

    That's exactly what I was thinking of. A 1 piece drive shaft is on my current list, for that reason alone. At full droop, mine is at a pretty nasty angle.
