Thanks guys! I think today's interview went pretty well. Travel on this one isn't quite as fun though... it would be spending part time in the U.A.E. But, there's a chance for getting a contract to install radar on Kwajalein Atoll! I've always wanted to go there to scuba dive!

    Hey Paul,

So, the bottom of my case ALMOST clears... there is one bolt location that barely hangs under. I figured that it was enough to make a nice flat belly and not ruin my underbody too much Here are some pics:

Finally finished reading your build thread lumpskie. Lots of things I know very little/nothing at all about, but feel like I'm already getting introduced to. But I will probably be going back through and commenting on a couple things I wanted to comment on. Nice thread and good job updating it

    Triple? you mean triple sticks?

that measn you can do lo, or lo lo in 2wd

and now, when in lo lo thats a compound ratio of 12.4 or something.

stock tcase is like 2.4 or 2.5 something.

just the crawlbox 5th gear would be close to 2nd or 1st on the stock case as its a 4.7..well..lumps is.

yea i do. But the sad thing with it is when you go to Lo..your stuck at the one ratio. Not that it wouldn't be low enough..but it wouldn't be high enough.

I can't tell you how much i use 3rd-4th in just low now for sort of go fast situtations..okay not go FAST...but the smoother sections on a rough trail.

You'ld have to stop and go to 4 hi.

and 4 hi is too tall for just about everything especially once you add on tons of armor weight and such. I literally can't tell you the last time i used 4hi...haha not enough torque and power.

So you mean with a compound of 12.4?

your top speed in lo lo with 33s and 4.56 in 5th gear...1.59 mph..haha

    so..no. Not even close.

Edit: Whoops..thats the low speed..high is 12.54...so..still not fast haha thats a 6k rpms

Looks like it would be close to the same as 1st gear lo though..1st gear is a touch taller.

But that was compared with a compound ratio.

with just a 4.7 lefty it would be equal to about 2nd gear or so.

    Just to clarify..

a dual case setup lo lo 5th is equal to about 4.7 2nd gear and stock tcase 1st..

not identical..but those are the gears that are closest.

All these fancy crawl box things. My crawl speed is more of a walk. Maybe me regearing will help. Still up in the air about 4.56 or 4.88s

I have 4.56 and love them with the 35s. I was over geared a bit with 33s but with 35s it feels a little better than stock. Not worth me regearing a second time in one year.

It's funny lump because no one there to record me. So u jumped out walked around and recorded it. I've seen your video on YouTube testing out the crawler on that rock. Got a little three wheel motion

Man, I want to regear. Going up I 70 would be much nicer. Hey Ponethousand, what RPM were you at going 75, back when you had the 4.56/33" tire combo?

Haha, I was wondering if you hopped out to get that video! I couldn't quite tell.

And that video with the crawler on the rock is what convinced me that I needed to redo my rear suspension! Man, it was so still that I would go up on three wheel rather than getting it to droop :anonymous:.
