Yup, ultra grey. I had to pull my axles out quite a bit further than I expected too... Was a bit scared I'd bend a hard brake line, but it was fine

Don't have money to regear so my 34s are super slow. I get 12 mpg. I barely get to freeway speeds on a ramp and don't have any of my armor yet.

Also, my truck is 6'5" and I have to fit in 6'6" parking garages for work in LA. Too close for comfort.

I say rear. One thing is you have more control over where the front goes than the rear. You go over certain things and you hit the rear, but you have more control over what the front hits. Not to mention the front of the runners looks good anyways. But that's just my $0.02

More likely to be rear ended or hit rocks with the rear.

Basically, you can stack rocks in the front to protect front. But the rear you will smack it as you go down on them. It also seems less work for the rear but you know better than me

I'm planning on getting a swing out but only running it in situations where I need a full size spare. Around LA, I'll leave the swing in my garage.

If you're short on money, I would tell you to get skids, no questions asked. You're already going to get front and rear bumpers at some point, so it doesn't matter if you wreck them. But protecting your trans and engine will go a loooong way. And will also get you up trails with more confidence! :notsure:

That's probably true! I've been looking at at least getting a front skid soon. The gas tank hangs low on these rigs but the stock skid is actually pretty beefy.
