Also, where do y'all stand on the Edley's vs. Peg Leg Porker debate? Seems like every other person has a different idea about the best BBQ in Nashville haha.

Also, anyone know of any good Cajun/creole restaurants?

Papa Boudreaux's in Santa Fe (that's Santa as in Claus and Fe as in fee). It's a drive, but worth it. Chappy's on Church was really good too, but it's gone now. Cajun Steamer in Franklin is pretty good too, and a little closer. None of it will be as good as down home to you, obviously. I prefer Martin's for BBQ, so throw that in the hat too. Also, I think Bolton's has the hottest chicken in town.

I'm headed to Logan on Wednesday, my wife just left this morning. Her family rented a house in Dennis Port so we're staying there through the end of the week, and then staying in Copley Square next weekend.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check out Martin's as well!

Damn I better get in the gym before I'm 400lbs!

You've picked the right time of year to head up there. In a couple months it'll get cold!

I've been to both... I liked peg leg porker better. More spices on the ribs. Almost more like Memphis style.

I went last weekend, clays are up to 50¢ now but still had a blast shooting at the sporting clays area! Can't believe I haven't gone sooner. I also got some #swag

Not in Nashville, but I'm a few miles Southeast of there, in Tullahoma. Oh yeah, I highly recommend Martin's BBQ. It's great. As for an FFL, I use Toliver's in Manchester.

Welcome! I'm nearly as far out of Nashville as you are, but a bit more easterly direction. Franklin County Gunworks is out that direction near Winchester. I liked the guy who ran the place. Got my KSG from him.

    Hi

I live in the Charlotte / Annex area (west side), close to Costco, Chic-fil-a (most importantly), and Cleeces Ferry. I'll put up some pics of my humble rig, but it's nothing that stands out save a green jerry can and mini fire extinguisher mounted in the bed. You also might see a nice blue jet ski trailing behind me from time to time :)

Looking good @Vrbas I really like those swing out storage boxes, but they don't line up with my sleeping platform plans.

Yeah give me a second and I'll post the pics of my install, where I got the Jerry can, and holder. Note, it looks like Amazon bumped up the price for the fuel cage by about $10 from when I purchased it :/

    Fuel Cage

    Fuel Can

I re-purposed some tension brackets I got off a failed wheel jack from the jet ski trailer. I bought some big @$$ carriage bolts and a bunch of washers to utilize the already existing rail system (in order to avoid drilling in the bed)

Can any of y'all recommend some fun trails/fire roads to take my 2wd on? Just to get her off the beaten path every now and then? I don't plan on doing any heavy offroading or mudding by any means, just want to show her some of the great outdoors (this city life gets old after a while).

So I'm having a difficult time finding where exactly I am to go here, or even access the area. I went on their website and I see there are maps for sale and all. What if I just want to wander and explore without paying? Is that a realistic option and if so, where do I start?

Well if you head down toward the Natchez trace you can easily find some good rough dirt roads to play around on, but yes the map itself would be helpful. I've "seen" the map when I was out with some folks a year or so ago but didn't have my own copy. Wish there was a PDF version - I'd even pay a fee to get a password protected version or something so I could have it on my phone easily... Or even a version of it layered onto a Google map :)
