Hey as long as it's getting better and not worse, it's all good.

Same reason as Sean, BB squats were getting hard on my knees, despite keeping my knees behind my feet at the bottom. Had a physio friend of mine check it out, and he said I had developed PFS (patellar femoral syndrome), where the back of the kneecap rubs on the femur and hurts like a bitch.

I was having a lot of knee pain for a couple of days after BB squats, so I switched up the leg workout. I find I can go heavy on leg press without knee issues. I do hack squats too to round it out. Same basic movement, just offers more stability and control over the knees compared to BB squats.

Physio said my IT (ileo-tibial) bands were extremely tight, pulling my kneecaps out, making them track incorrectly outside their grooves. This is what was causing all the knee pain. He showed me some IT band stretches, and now I stretch them out after my 10 minutes of warm-up cardio before my workouts. I guess they must be tracking straight up and down now 'cause I don't have that knee pain after legs anymore

I blew my shoulder out the end of July this year. I was lifting. Doing military press, 80lb dumbells in each hand. Went up for 1, went to explode up for #2 and my shoulder came right out. Held onto the weight, and it drug me down, tearing shit all the way. Stretched out my labrum as well as every other ligament up there. Never had an MRI, but we don't think anything is permanently damaged. Hopefully the pain I am getting right now is just residual scar tissue shit

    The better coast
I know a few gyms that have rules like "only shirts with sleeves" and stuff which is understandable to some degree....but no grunting? I would lift there to just to make them mad.

yeah i grunt when i'm getting my swell on. that because everybody should know how JACKED and TAN I AM!!!

i went to visit my buddy a long time ago and went to this local gym (in san fran) and we made animal sounds as we were lifting to fuck with the douche bag hippies and pretty boys that were more concerned about making sure their tank top was center perfectly on their chest and their arms were still pumped while chilling by the drinking fountain in hopes of talking to a chick. i was doing kettlebell swings and moo-ing like a cow while he was doing burpess and quacking like a duck. it was awesome cause we got asked to leave

Hey no problem man, I do what I can to help and encourage! Just be glad you aren't working out with me, lol! I cuss and scream and yell and when you wanna quit, I beat your ass some more. Like I tell the guy I'm "training", you won't die, but you'll want to.

He's like what's this workout called? 30 minute fight for your life, Mike.

After the "deck of death", Aaron, lets never fucking do that again.

Not quite. No rest, each suit is different. This time there was box jumps, overhead hand claps, push ups and 100, 250 and 500 meter sprints on the rowing machine.

Cool thread. I used to be really into lifting and bulking up. But now my goals have changed.

I would like to just loose the extra fat. How would you guys recommend cutting down body fat? I'm not trying to count carbs (seems too complicated)

This is what i have in mind:

-Cardio on an empty stomach (morning when i wake up or 3 hours after a meal)
    -no carbs after 3pm
    -fat burner (pills)
    -no junk food
