Did shoulders today, then my buddy said "Hey, let's go play basketball." Bad idea. Don't take The Curse then go do somethin that strenuous. Thought I was gonna have a heart attack. But that might just be because all I ever do for "cardio" anymore is run a 7:55 mile on the treadmill.

That's what I was getting too. To lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you take in. Atleast that's what I was always told.

Hmm.. That's not too bad. I would personally eat something before lifting, but that's because I get hungry during lifting then I get mad. Haha.

    Hows your cardio?

    I agree. Haha.

Dang, I don't know. I almost want to say you're not eating enough? But that makes no sense.

Weight is basicly just calories in vs calories out, but there is some little factors that contribute to it if you can be below your daily energy expenditure youll loose weight and if your above it you will gain, and they say about 3500 kcals is a pound. Your RMR or resting metabolic rate is 70% of your TEE (total energy expenditure) and physical activity is only about 20% of ur TEE. Now the other about 10% is from the thermic effect of food which is the energy used to proccess food and that whats being manipulated by eating lots of small meals which doesnt make a big diffrence when it comes to weight loss\gain being its only 10% of your TEE although it does have other benifits. But it sounds like your at a negitive energy balance so you should be loosing weight? my guess is what another member said previously, muscle is heavier than fat obviously as im sure you know so you might just be packing on muscle if u had an old body fat percentage to compare to id say test it again and see if it went down. I honestly dont use weight often with "fit" clients to gauge progress because its not a good indicator just like BMI. I like BF testing for atheltic people and BMI with obviously overweight people. Just like i dont like using heart rate so much with athletic clients to measure cardio intensity, for the reason being its not accurate its more of a correlate. An astronuts at max HR at launch, and your probably gona be at max HR if your getting shot at and i dont consider that high intensity excersie necessarily.

Try doing some more. It might help. I don't know though, but I'm sure you're up to try anything now. I know I would be.

Isolating your abdominals (or any body part for that matter) wont shed body fat in the area, and thats which is what will make a "six pack" show, its all body fat thats why u can see women with crazzy strong abbs but they dont got ripped stomachs. Id still do it more tho your core can never be too strong

That's not really going to help getting rid of a gut. Everyone's heard that saying "Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym." It's not gonna hurt anything, but it's not gonna immediately get rid of the belly.

You can't really "target" belly fat. Your body is gonna burn off whatever fat it wants to, and belly fat is usually the last to go. It's fairly easy to eat your way to 10-15% BF, but it's a lot harder to get down under that 10% which is probably where you're really gonna start havin shredded abs. Of course, it's different for everyone. Some folks might have abs at higher % BF. According to my scale, I'm at 10.7% BF and I don't really have them until I flex them. That's why I'm doin the low carb diet for a little while...to see if I can really get some abs.

My scale supposedly tells what it is. I know it's not accurate though...because all you do is stand on the dang thing. All it's really doing is going off of my height and weight to calculate it. A body fat caliper is a more accurate test.

It sends a small electric current through your body and measures the resistance. They are not accurate but you do get a number to track.

Sclaes are not accurate whatsoever it doesnt take anything logical into effect to measure body fat, its like a BMI reading based of height and weight. In most cases your height isnt even a neccessary factor in order to determine body fat. The best way would be a dexa scan but there expensive it will actualy show you a scan of your body and how much body fat you have in everyspot and is the most accurate, second best would be hydrostatic weighing. Then you can do skindfold measurments which are good but iffy because it varries on who the trainer giving the test is and how good they are cuz its kinda a skill, it wont be super accurate but if you have the same trainer do it as a before and after then it will be pretty accurate as to measure ur progress, and then you can also do a BIA which is a bioelectrical impedance test which is like a little machine thats not the greatest but its something although factors like debydration can cause bad or innacurate readings because it measures BF by measuring electrical resistance and as we know water is a conductor of electricity.

So no assault pump in three days.. Should I try two scoops? I remember when my cousin had assault a year ago, it came with a scoop twice the size of one now and said, one scoop for moderate training, and full for high intensity. Worth a shot:notsure:
