The best thing I've done is stopped counting reps. I go to failure each and every set I do. And I don't listen to music usually but if I do it's a mix of rock and rap.

I think both topics have been covered, but:

Think of body fat as a blanket. You can't cut pieces out. It's going to slowly shrink from areas it wants to. For me, the lower belly is the last spot to go. I'm not one of the lucky people to have visible abs at 12% bf; I've got to get around 9-10%. There are some assholes who have six packs at around 12-13%, though. You can't spot lose it and working abs isn't going to do shit for you. Muscles like abs, forearms, and calves aren't going to grow like your chest, so doing them all the time isn't gonna do much of anything. That being said, I do abs about twice a week, along with squats and other REAL workouts that work the hell out of abs

Find your caloric maintenance (what amount of calories you eat daily and not gain or lose weight) and subtract 500 from it. I guarantee you'll lose weight then...if not, subtract 100 cals per week until you see a pound lost. Losing a pound a week is the best way to preserve muscle. Sure, you could go on a 100 calorie deficit, but you'd look like an Ethiopian.

Young Jeezy radio on Pandora. When I'm working, I can't listen to my iPod, but we have Sirius and I keep it on channel 34, which is 90's rock...a lot of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Collective Soul, STP, Weezer, Cake, etc. Gotta keep it clean for the ladies and old folks

I didn't know they had that specific of a station? I'll have to try that today. If that doesn't work, then it's on to Sabaton, Hammerfall and Dio
