I got a sample of Alpha Amino with my last bb order and it tasted amazing. On my cut, I used ON flavorless BCAA 5000 powder and it was God-awful. I tried to save some cash by getting flavorless.......never again. On my next cut, I'll be going with Scivation Xtend. Apparently, that shit is the bee's knees. I researched the best BCAA supp and, of every review I read, it was #1 on every list.

And here I thought my 405 was all that

I agree 100% about 99% of supplements being complete bullshit. As a matter of fact, before I started cutting, I pissed off everyone in this thread by asking 1000 questions about the legitimacy of BCAA's. From what I gathered from my "extensive" research, when you're on a cut, your body is deprived of essential amino acids, overall macros, and micronutrients. While cutting, BCAA's aid in preserving muscle while getting rid of the fat. When you're not cutting, they don't do much of anything because you're eating a fuck-ton of foods chalk full of amino acids, assuming that you're eating a balanced diet. Now, I'm not a scientist, but on my 4 month cut, I lost very little muscle mass. I'm not naive enough to jump to the conclusion that BCAA's are solely responsible for that muscle preservation, but, at $20 for a 6 month supply, I'll take my chances.

    Current supp stack:
    whey protein
    pre-workout

    Cutting supp stack:
    whey protein
    pre-workout
    BCAA's

I also like creatine, but am not taking it right now. I know fish oils are useful, but I don't take them. Everything else, I call bullshit on.

it might've been my diet or it might've been my supps... but when I cut I lost strength and I lost some size.. granted competition dieting and cutting is a bitt different but when I cut again for my next comp (about a year away) ill be sticking with my supplements.. I for sure need to learn how to macro count and keep it simple without eating tilapia and broccolli for a month straight.. I believe in proper diet and nutrition but supps do help in certain situations

Oh, I definitely lost a lot of strength; that's why I never maxed out on my cut because I know I would've stopped cutting lol. I do all my macro counting on paper. It takes me about 4-5 hrs to get a perfect diet dialed in that hits everything within 5-10 grams, as well as being food I know I'll enjoy eating 6 days a week for months at a time. I know a lot of folks use myfitnesspal, but I'd rather just do it on my own so I know 100% that what I'm eating is going to be an accurate count. My first goal is to hit my macros. My second goal is to make sure all my micros are covered. After that, I fill in with stuff I actually enjoy eating, without going too crazy with it. I believe BCAA's do their part on a cut, but I think it'd be useless to take them on a bulk, as with most other stuff.

the way I see it on a bulk.. it couldnt hurt.. pluss drinking plain water all day gets super boring and sort of sucks lol.. so Ill use some of ON's new BCAAs in my water or even some Amino Energy .. just to break it up.. Mio is tasty as well!

This is a big part of why I want them. Haha. After drinkin a gallon of water, I want something with some taste. So, Instead of putting propel powder or mio in it, why not get something that has some advantages? Plus, I'm still on my cut, so it's not gonna hurt to drink it.

Hey, if money were no option, I'd take them year-round...it's definitely not gonna hurt anything. I just think that the 215g of protein I get on a daily basis on a bulk has all my amino acids covered. As far as ON's BCAA's go, I'd steer clear from the unflavored. I thought I could be a badass and choke it down, but it's like mixing flour with your water...absolutely horrible lol. I'd definitely spend the extra money and get their flavored stuff.

You want variety? Throw a Coke in :D

On a cut, I'd say BCAA's or Aminos are definitely gonna help...I wouldn't want to risk it, anyway...I take them on cuts to be safe. Do you want the full amino supp or just BCAA's?

    So, this just happened:

I'm sitting at the desk at the front of the gym, minding my own business, doing a little LSAT studying and I hear this loud-ass thud! I look and the barbell for the bench is standing straight up! I walked over and this kid is just laying on the bench and his eyes were wide opened and he looked like he just shit himself. A friend was back there when it happened, so I quietly asked him what the fuck just happened; he said that the kid put 275 on and laid under it for like 30 secs and my friend asked if he wanted a spot and the kid said no, so my friend went back to lifting. Next thing you know, the bar is buried into his chest and he had to rock the weights off both sides to free himself. My friend walked over to make sure the kid didn't kill himself and the kid just got up and left the gym haha

I like these shoes... They look similar to what Eric posted, but I'm not sure what they really are.

I've been there. Well kinda. When I was just starting out lifting (when I was like 18 and a freshman in college) I went to the gym at 6am before class and I decided I was going to try to do 155x3 as a max effort type set. I was pretty much the only person in the gym. Being somewhat half asleep and naive to lifting safety I accidentally put a 25 on each side instead of a 10. The bar went straight to my chest and I had the fucking collars on it too. Spent what seemed like 10 minutes trying to fight my way away from the bar until I finally was able to get it far enough to the right for it to fall and tilt upward enough for me to get the weights off. I had to have looked like a damn idiot. I was so shaken and pissed off afterward that I ended up leaving the gym and skipping class.

the ones eric posted are $90 powerlifters, that reebok one is $150 lifter 2.0s, elliot's wearing $200 adipowers in that vid and after some reading Im heavily considering fitting myself at my SA to the lifters then ordering lifter plus 2.0's online lol
