Absolutely. Gotta hit the chest. I've got a buddy that is benchin like 420 (he also has some...let's just say he has help) but he comes down to like 3-4 inches off of his chest. We give him shit all the time. He's like 6'1 or 6'2" 220 lbs. never really worked legs until everyone in the gym gave him a hard time for a solid 2 months. Then he tells me "give me 2 months and my numbers will be higher than yours on legs". I said give me 2 months of your supply and you won't be able to catch me!

He didn't like that too much...

I know man...I miss the sexy girls in sprots bras...I don't wanna get banned again though :anonymous:

x2. I have my last final as an undergrad tomorrow. Feels good man.

We have a guy like that here, except when his cycle is over, we don't see his for 3-4 months, then he comes back in small again; he's never done a leg workout in his life...hell, that's 90% of the "big guys" at our gym. My legs are BY NO MEANS big and I'd say I'm in the top 5 for biggest legs at my gym. It's really sad

Not all guys that bench over 400 are on sauce :p. Bench technique is a funny one. If your trying to do max effort, Max growth you don't arch and all that bs But if your going for a max lift Competition then Many lifters do it as they have to bring the bar down much less, But also it helps to recruit more of the Pec Major like a Decline almost. I personally on all lifts only have a small arch to help keep the pressure and balance of the weight where i have or Feel Max strength. Torque.

I hope to PB this week on all my main lifts RAW Accept for DL( Thumb nerve issue )

405 Flat bench, 680 DL, 495 Back squat n 365 Front. I still have a long way to go for the up and coming strong man comp here, Especially my over head log press.

FUUUUUUCK! I'm assuming you're a power lifter lol

I know a lot of power lifters who aren't on juice and have super high maxes, but I also know a lot of juicers who can bench over 400, too; the funny thing about most of the juicers at my gym is that they can't back squat 185 or deadlift 225...

I'm just barely over the 1000 lb club (315 bench, 405 deadlift, 335 squat = 1055), but I just don't understand why so many people neglect legs. I guess I'm a leg nazi. I know I've talked about them 100 times in here, but there are 2-3 different groups of dudes that come in here, some who do juice and some who don't, but they only do chest, back, and arms....that's it...chest, back, and arms every workout, every week. They're also the same groups of guys that workout in pants in the summer time. We probably get the same 100 people in her eevery day. Of those 100, I'd say around 25 are guys who are die-hards and serious about lifting. Of those 25, I'd say maaaaybe 6-7 do legs

Whenever I go I rarely see people work legs. This morning I saw a guy do about 8 sets on bench, did 2-3 bi workouts, abs, and then 5 more sets on bench. I could tell he was a little pissed cause I took all the 45's from surround benches for the leg press machine. This guy though, he's in there almost every morning I am and I have only seen him work chest and bi's. I'd say about 80% of the women there have a more balanced lifting program than the guys, lol.

As for lifts, my squat was at 375 but I have weak DL's, my max was 315. Now it's 255, at least that's what I got 4x this morning. Just ready for the shoulder to fully heal so I can do back squats again. I tried a set this morning at 135 and got it 10x but the position my should sits in made it hard and painful. Probably won't try again for another few months.

Well, obviously. But considering the fact that I've seen his, I know he's got it. His T was low for a while because he had a nut removed, so they prescribed him some of that roll on stuff that you put under your arms. After that he decided he was gonna go all out. I've seen the viles first hand.

Someone asked me the other day if I thought he was on it. I said I didn't know, but more than likely. He said "he's like what, 35, 36? Did he suddenly hit puberty and his back start breaking out again?" Everyone at the gym knows he's on it. And we all give him shit.

Someone made fun of him the other day, then he said if his biceps get any bigger they're gonna bust. Told him I would make sure someone had the mop ready for when all that water came out. Hahaha

There's 4-5 guys here that do it....I wish I was one of them lol

I'm glad it's not only here, then. You just described 95% of the dudes that come into the gym here. Shit pisses me off. I have one group who comes in here who literally works out chest, arms, and back every Mon, Wed, and Fri and that's it...every single one of them wears pants every time, no matter the time of year lol

You should stop them one day and say that there bench is impressive and ask how much they squat. For those that front squat what form do y'all use? I have bad wrists so I can't do the underhand grip or whatever it is. I fold my arms out and the bar rest on my upper arms. I feel like a bitch with those though, lol. Only doing 185

My front squat numbers are terrible. I've done them maybe 5 times ever lol. I really need to do them more. I do mine the same way as you...shit hurts my wrists the other way, too.

people with bad wrists can use wrist wraps around the bar, and hold the wrap rather than have to bend their wrists all the way back for the front rack

I hit 245 on the front the other day
which, because of the preceding conversations

    sounds light as fuck. haha

IMO heavy front squats are prob the safest heavy lift one can do solo if you have the guides set properly. Funny enough its my main core work out, The amount of core strength need to hold heavy weight in front squats is amazing. Do back squats after and you barely fee the weight on ur core. I try to limit my squats and main compression type movements, why my squat is the main lacking lift on my lifting spectrum. I have had 3 knee surgery the last being an almost full reconstructive surgery ( ACL, MCL, M/L meniscus) and post op ( years now ) still suffer the consequences. I have to be very careful. Most of the time now i train legs fasted and pre exhausted with other movements first.

The same goes for tri's. I have to do like 15 sets of pull downs, over head extensions etc before i can even bother attempting skull crushers or i end up going to heavy and my elbow hating me lol.

My rule is always lift according to you limitations. I Personally have low mobility in my shoulders and wrists so any form of cleans destroys me, hell some days even over head presses bugger me up for a bit. Know your limitations.

I lay the bar over my shoulders at the position its supposed to be and over hand wrap the bar crossing my arms.

If thats to hard, try doing zerker squats

I might try that. I had surgery on my wrists years and years ago and never regained full movement so they don't bend as far back as most

I always say I'm going to try those but never think to do them when I get to the gym
