To each their own. Not pushing shit down peoples throats. Some people swear by crossfit, some hate it.

I see results best with a hybrid style routine. And I'll continue advocating crossfit.

Best thing about CF is that it's gotten a lot of people into the gym to exercise that might not because the traditional gym doesn't work for them--a lot like the marathon/century training Leukemia & Lymphoma's Team in Training does--people go because there's a good support group.

By no means am I against CF until "that guy" has to voice his dictation that it is a be all end all style of fitness. It has indeed gotten a lot of people into working out and has been a great success but it is still not compatible with everyone so therefore should not be so aggressively recommended. Crossfit is a lot like owning a Jeep. They have their own crew and it is something not everyone will ever understand.

My issue with crossfit is that most of the time crossfit fanatics say and believe things about health and exercises that are completely wrong.

And will then argue with me until they are blue in the face. And make me pull out the dickhead card and tell them what my degrees are and that I used to run a human performance lab. After which they still tell me I'm wrong.

It is a good thing that it's helping get more people interested in fitness. But I think it's a fad just like aerobics and tae bo.

    I guess time will tell..

ALL athletes of ALL kids will say things in reference to health and fitness that are not true, not just TW crossfit guys. Look, I'm not a crossfit guy by any means obviously, but I don't go around knocking specific sports as you seem to be doing...at least this is the impression I'm getting as you have only said negative things directed at crossfit guys. Am I wrong?
Everybody has their own sport and a far as I'm concerned, if it's athletic let them fly their flag; it beats sitting on the couch watching tv all day while stuffing your face with garbage.

    /end rant. Change of topic.

I don't think he's bashing TW CF guys specifically as in more of a general basis. Sadly if a small group makes the whole look bad they all get ridiculed. In my experience with CF participants they typically talk about the topic like they are better than everyone else. but agreed /topic

Haha I watch tv as well, but it's after I'm home and eating, or in the morning, while eating. Lol I love tv, but I'm in no way a couch potato.

Hey not trying to interrupt the conversation and I've posted on this thread before but just curious how much eveyones crossfit is per month. I was thinking it would be good to get cut before a marriage or something like that but I talked to my roomates and there's is retarded expensive. Like $130 a month. For that price I'd rather train at an mma gym. Just lookin for estimate of what is reasonable.

Holy crap! $130 a month?!?! You pay state taxes right? Go to a park, bring a kettle bell, and use that bad boy to fulfill all that tax money you put towards that park. PT is free.

I pay $85 a month, but I am a student as well as a govt employee... If you pay month by month here it is $130 for just Joe Schmo

Yeah 85 is better but still seems pretty steep. I just don't understand why it's so expensive:notsure:

Thanks for that I did a stir fry with some chicken stock and it was 10048584 times better. It made the entire meal more enjoyable, I'm going to pick up some veggie, chicken, and maybe some beef stock tomorrow when I go shopping and cook my week of meals. Does anybody have any other suggestions on diet? Also someone told me that I ought to add oatmeal to my protein shakes for a complex carb load up post work out any validity to this?

I think it's due to the fact that there is always at least one trainer there pushing you and correcting form etc. I think I will do CF up until my jaw surgery in May at which point I will take what I have learned and incorporate it into a more mass building style workout regimen.

No, I got my wisdom teeth out a year or so ago. They need to cut my lower jaw and set it back a bit. My bite is all fucked up and it has to be fixed via surgery... Hospital for a day or two, bed for a couple weeks, and then sloooow recovery for a couple months at which point I can at least eat solid food again. I will lose a lot of weight I am thinking.
