Depends where you sticking point is for the deadlift. This is an accessory movement so it should be focused on the problem you are trying to correct. My failure is usually mid shin so I do low rack pulls or even better.....paused deadlifts. Pull to your sticking point, pause for a second, then continue the pull.

I actually dont like calling it a pull because the bottom of the movement is actually a leg drive or push.

easy way to keep the wallet, keys phone and water bottle together. I have an awesome nike one I got about 10 years ago and I still use it today. I use to use it as a back pack on days I would only have 1 class

    Douches...

However, I did wear my compression shorts under my gym shorts today and they're comfortable as hell; they keep my 'nads from flying around and they keep the swamp-ass away. I could wear these bad boys full-time.

Had a great 'upper-a' day today. I was gonna start posting logs in the powerlifting thread, but I don't want to give Eric the satisfaction of having a successful thread

    incline dumbbell bench: 3 sets of 12, 10, 9 w/ 70 lb dumbbells
    wide-grip pull-ups (1 sec pause @ top and bottom): 2 sets of 10, 9
    seated dumbbell shoulder press: 3 sets of 12, 12, 10 w/ 50 lb dumbbells
    flat dumbbell flys: 2 sets of 12, 10 w/ 45 lb dumbbells
    v-grip lat pulldowns: 3 sets of 12 @ 205, 190, 175
    barbell shrugs: 2 sets of 12, 10 @ 405
    hammer curls: 3 sets of 12 w/ 50, 45, 45 lb dumbbells
bodyweight dips (1 sec pause @ top and bottom): 3 sets of 18, 15, 10

the one sec pause on the pull-ups keeps you from doing some crossfit-esqu leverage/floppy shit. You wait until your body comes to a complete stop at the bottom and you go back up and stop again for 1 sec; they're tough as shit

They are great when you work out but I do not suggest wearing them as normal everyday stuff.

Yeah, I've got no problem with boxers most of the time. I've always worn boxers to the gym and it was miserable, but now it's great with the compression shorts! How come you don't like the compression shorts full-time?

I think it's creepy as fuck when dudes shave their legs or arms. I shave my chest when my bodyfat is around 10ish, but that's it and that's only because it's hairy as fuck...otherwise, no one would be able to see my abs and chest definition lol. My fiancee shaves my back about once a month; my back isn't that bad, just around my neck.

Well when I have skin to skin contact with my own skin, I start to sweat. I always have to have some type or undershirt of I sweat through everything.

The compression shorts are great when you are working out because everything is all sweaty and you don't really notice anything. I have had a few days where I forgot to do laundry and only had compression shorts left.

Well compression shorts like to hug your ass cheeks together and your nuts in place and creat a nice case of swamp ass/nuts, and being compression shorts, everything will go right into your jeans/shorts/suit/etc.

    TMI? :D

I guess. I don't want to come across as a complete hater or anything but...some of these newer trends that I'm seeing seem silly to me. I guess if it works for ya, go for it... I was just inquiring and sharing my opinion.

Haha TMI isn't in my vocabulary lol. But I thought the function of compression shorts were to absorb sweat and prevent swamp ass

Me too, man. People think going to the gym is a damn fashion show. I wear soccer shorts (I hate long shorts and soccer shorts are right above the knee), old cut up shirts, and Nike's. Compression shorts have their function and I know some folks wear compression pants to keep the bar from ripping out hair/skin when doing deadlifts. I do know what you mean, though. There are some fuckers that look like they walked out of an Academy catalog with all the matching gear. The high socks, compression everything, bright shoes, etc just look dumb in my opinion. Those are like the dudes that go bass fishing for the first time and show up with a Gilligan hat with lures going around it, vented shirt, vest, hip waiters, etc. (No offense, Dereck, I know you're the real deal and some of that shit is necessary for trout fishing)

The thing that makes me lul the most is when guys wear gloves to the gym

I wear combat 5.11 pants, a skin tight compression shirt and TAC boots to the gym. Sometimes I wear shorts with regular shirts and shoes. I shave my arms, my back, chesticles and testie's...all the time. My workout clothes are 5.11, under armor or Nike stuff. Yea, the gym is a damn fashion show. I also have LG head phones with Bluetooth, very fashion sense.

I remember when I used to shave my cheats and junk religiously lol…now, I'm going for the Magnum PI look…

I do shave the chest when I'm more cut though

I've got the LG headphones now, too; fucking love em

I've been having to use my old pair of Sony MDR-7506 Headphones because my Sony Earbuds broke. I'd rather have my ear buds at the gym tbh. They're lighter weight and don't get in the way.

Hit a 235# bench today. Put's me at a 1050# total for the big 3. Such a weak bench, damn you long arms and tiny body.

If your bench is that low, your squat and dead must be high as shit! My big three equals 1055 and I bench 315!
