I didn't have a partner there to spot me. I asked some random dude to spot me. He's not that strong, so he asked his buddy to help him when I was doing 275. Lol. It was kinda one of those things where I had to get it or I would have had to dump.

I knew I could get it for a couple at least. I was wantin to try for 4 or 5.

I like southern rock more than anything (Allman Bros, Skynyrd), but I also like real country (not that bro-crap they play on the radio) and 90's rock (Jane's Addiction, Chili Peppers), but in the gym it's rap (Jeezy, 2 Chains, etc) I ordinarily don't like rap too much, but it gets me in the zone in the gym

I have a huge variety. This includes metal, screamo, punk, instrumental, pop, rap, etc. Hell sometimes I just wanna dance to 80's music. I have Celine Dion on a few of the playlists.

been on a modified version of candito's 6 week push/pull upper/lower routine for the the past 2 weeks, pretty fun to follow a solid routine rather than a guestimated one.
didn't realize how much I had strayed away from low-weight high-rep sessions.
    squat- 135x5
    185x3 (front squat)
    225x3 (front squat)
    (warm up)
    250x10
    260x5x3, 1 min pause

    deficit dl w/45lb bumpers
    135x5
    225x5
    250x8
    250x8
    250x8
    275x3
    295x2

the 10rep squat and the 8-rep dl sets fucking killed me, even at just 250. Fun stuff

I can listen to harder shit when working out, but that's about the only time…and I still prefer rap over it. I used to listen to Devil Wears Prada station on Pandora, but I got burnt out on it.

I do have a ton of instrumental stuff though. Have you ever heard of Explosions in the Sky? I listen to them when I study and it gets me in the damn zone…it's like the Mozart Effect or something lol.

Celine Dion….you can keep that and all that other 80's shit.

I do like some pop now….Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 :anonymous:

 Not all that bro country/tractor rap though…the real shit! Jamey Johnson, Hank Jr., Waylon Jennings, Sturgill Simpson.

The worst thing to ever happen to country music was Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan…absolutely terrible

Country and Southern/Classic Rock are definitely my favorite genres
