It is great to have long term goals but I would have short term goals as well. 3 month and 6 month as well as year + goals. I see this taking at least 2 years to accomplish. Good luck.

If the rumor proves right, Hellyeah will be part of Rockstar Mayhem this summer

    I figure 5+ a month on bench
    7+ a month squats
and after my noob gains on DL 7-10+ a month

As long as I get into a regular schedule and eat a shit ton of food I usually grow pretty fast.

Did legs today. I was gonna do some cardio, but my fiancee's nephew is on Spring Break this week, so we played baseball for a few hours and I thought I was gonna die. Keeping up with an 8 yr old is no joke.

I started positioning my feet different on each set of all my quad exercises and I really felt it in the outer/middle/inner areas of my quads. I'm really trying to get my quads more define, but it's proving to be a tough job

I feel like I've finally gotten into the gym mode. I feel gross if I miss two days in a row and leg day is my favorite day of the week. Unfortunately my wife and daughter made me miss leg day today. Dang wife went out drinking and woke me up from 2:15-5 this morning then my daughter decided to wake up at 6:15. Hoping to get in there tonight, but I hate the night crowds.

    I agree with this...

Deadlifts don't just sky rocket for noobs. Trust me, seen it...done it... After you hit 315 deads they slow way down. I don't want to shit on your parade, but I also want to see more realistic goals

Despite the picture looking like this was filmed with a calculator 4 years ago, this actually happened like a week or two ago. Last I read, guy had surgery, and is expected to be in a wheel chair for 3 months or so before he can walk.

I just did some quick math......

At the same bodyweight, in 7 years since graduating college my lifts have only gone up:

    Bench- 30lbs
    Squat- 105lbs
    Deadlift- 130lbs

Its easy to see what lifts I sucked at back then.

Don't feel bad. My bench max when I graduated high school was 95 lbs. A few years later, my max is 315. My weight also went from 145 to 205 lol. Your lifts aren't going to jump up until your weight does!

Also, Amy and I are taking her nephew to Sky Zone tomorrow; that shit is gonna suck a day after leg day! For those who don't know, this is Sky Zone:

I dunno who's gonna have more fun, me or the 8 year old :anonymous:

Haha ya, get some video Zack. You don't strike me as the most balanced and athletic person so it should be some easy comedy . I know I got on a trampoline for the first time in years when I was 22 and it was terrifying. I am not sure how I survived the crap I did as a kid!

I dont feel bad at all. The exact opposite actually. I never once mentioned what my starting numbers were :) My point to the original comment was that everything takes time and that his goals will realistically take longer than he thinks. Over time 5lb and 10lb jumps in weight over an entire year will be something to be proud of. I have been up to 210 and strong as ever many times but I always come back down to 185 bigger and leaner each time. My body likes that weight for some reason.
