    Watched pumping iron this last weekend. So just went on netflix and it reccomended "generation iron" which is the modern one with kai and phil made in 2013 its pretty good

    Ok, I'll bite.
    With that logic, why does anybody work out? Why does anyone power lift, olympic lift, body build, gayfit, or just do a bunch of cardio?
    I fail to see the logic behind, "If you don't compete, why do it."

    For me, to lose weight. Always been obese and with bad knees at age 40 it's a really bad idea. Plus I want leg strength to help support the knees.

    Cardio and-or weights almost every day, have 10 basic lifts I do..

    I've found it to be good stress relief as a side bonus

    That's why I do what I do

    I used it to burn of my Thor sized amount of adrenaline from a work call today and for stress management from that call.

    Then I ate a pound of all natural Sprouts sausage and a cup of home cooked jasmine rice. Going to bed now lol

    i agree with this.

    i think one thing that no ones mentioned is...any form of working out can be someones hobby. if someone finds something fun why not do it? just because someone else doesn't find it fun or doesn't understand it, thats just different opinions. so i also dont see the logic behind the "If you don't compete, why do it." its almost like saying why do anything unless your striving to be the best at it, for most people thats not the goal, the goal is to have fun and with a lot of things competing takes the fun out of it for people

    I lift to relieve stress, and to look good for the ladies, of course....
    I've always been the little guy...so havin people say "you're getting bigger!" Is nice to hear. Even hearing that someone asked someone else if you've been on gear is kind of a compliment. I mean, I used to be scrawny. I'm still not big, by any means, but I'm not just "the small guy" in a group of friends. It's kinda nice.

    And, now I feel like shit if I don't go to the gym. So going and lifting makes me feel better.
