Same here man. I haven't been since Tuesday either. What's even worse is I probably only consumed around 100g of protein a day this weekend :(

Don't feel bad. My weekend was horrible, too. All this warm weather has had me on a eating like shit/drinking like a fish binge. We went on the lake Saturday and I probably drank a gallon of vodka and pineapple juice. Yesterday, we cooked out and I topped it off with a Butterfinger Blizzard from DQ.

Next week's forecast doesn't look any better either. Our friend is hosting the 2nd annual Beer Olympics at their house Saturday...

In better news, I did buy a Glock 42 Saturday :D

Did a sick workout yesterday and capped it off with 2 hours of ball hockey. So happy, first time since September I did some serious exercise after a concussion and neck sprain. So fucking happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep...it made the lost gainz almost worth it.

I've been wondering how bad these cheat days actually are though. Usually, I cheat with alcohol and eat fairly decent through the weekend. My only problem is, when I drink, I usually stop eating, so my protein intake is around 100 g that day. If I do that one day a week all year, that's 52 days a year where my protein intake is 20-50 g lower than it should be. I wonder how bad that's affecting my gains...of course, I could always stop partying on the weekends, but I'm just not ready to grow up yet.

Cant see that being a big issue, theres no way your body doesnt have some sort of stored food for one single day. After all, our bodies use to be trained to go a long time without anything years ago when we hunted our own food when you think about it

Gym time is gonna hurt this week. Finals so I'll be up at 4:30 am till they start around 8 am. I might go in the afternoon today and see how packed it is. Things tend to die down finals week as people leave or cram all day and night.

True dat. There's a really good Lean Gains article about drinking 1 day a week and basically eating minimal carbs and fat and as much protein as you want, but when I start drinking, I'm just like, "fuck it" haha. My goal is gonna be to limit it to maybe once or twice a month and just protein dafuq out on those days. We'll see how that goes lol

The problem is the body isn't "trained" for stress like that. If you ate breakfast daily, then skipped a meal one morning, you'd know it but if you did it consistently your body gets used to it and its not as stressful. So the obvious answer is to cheat more often.

Hit the gym this morning for the first morning workout. In at 6:30, out by 7:30. Shoulders and legs first thing on a Monday morning wasn't really how I wanted to start the week off, but it's where I left off last week. I hated waking up at 6, but once I made myself get out of bed I actually feel great. More awake and more energy at work already. I didn't have any preworkout (left it at a friend's house and he was trying to open a beer with it - didn't have a bottle opener - and the lid popped off and it spilled everywhere) so I had a Mountain Dew kickstart. I know it's not good for you and shit, but I needed a little caffeine. Ordering some Jim Stoppani "Pre Jym" today to try. It's got everything you need in it. BCAAs, Beta Alanine, a bunch of other shit. AND 300 mg of caffeine  hopefully it'll give me a good boost in the mornings to get up and lift some heavy weight.

I might try morning workouts. I hate going after work because there's too many people there and I end up taking the whole time. I'm like you though: I HATE waking up early, but I know I'll feel better afterwards.

Also, let my know how pre jym is because ON's pre sucks

Very true. I know with how my friends and social life are, the partying isn't going to slow down anytime soon, so I'm just gonna plan to only do it once or twice a month and just pack some food to take with me.

Ya I think your right about not being trained for that kind of stress. To me, I get best results when I just make sure I eat 8-10 times a day, never over eating but making sure its all healthy and enough carbs/protein i need at that point and not worrying about the fine amounts at the end of the day. I think its key to understand the basics of nutrition also but im assuming everyone who works out does to a certain point

I'm the opposite. I have to have to count macros and calories or I'll either over or under eat. On my good days, which is usually 6 out of 7 days, I eat the same 5 meals a day at the same time of day. Those damn Saturday's get me though.

I just eat when I can. Some days I miss breakfast, others days I miss lunch. My body is pretty adjusted to a sporadic style. For a bit I was limiting my meals and training myself to eat less. No reason to have the food bill of a body builder or an athlete when I am not training near as hard as one.

Anyone else feel like their pre workout will "expire" if you mix it to soon?
