The first time I ever cut a few years ago I got the headaches, but I was way way to low on calories and once I upped my carbs and water they went away.

A workout does wonders for my mood/attitude when I go at lunch, granted I'll be pissy by the time 5 o'clock gets here, but at least I reset the meter!

My girlfriends lab just did a 3 month study on crossfit and regular aerobic training.

They had a control group, a crossfit group and a group doing aerobics(running) for 3 months.

All groups followed a diet routine.

The Aerobic group had the biggest loss in body fat. And biggest changes in body composition.

The crossfit group did manage to gain muscle but also gained body fat and their body comp for the most part stayed the same or became higher fat content.

Conclusion: the crossfit workouts do not require as many calories as regular aerobics(jogging). There for the crossfit group did not lose as much fat or exhibit the changes in body comp.

This study will be published soon. They are finishing all the bloodwork and data now. Just thought some other guys may be interested.

I'm gonna go grab my umbrella and get ready for the shit storm on the horizon..

How many workouts a week? All participants worked out for the same amount of time the same amount of times a week? Also, changes in body composition as in what? It's quite a bit easier to shed a whole bunch of weight if you never eat anything... But a whole lot harder to put on good muscle. In order to put on muscle, some fat has to be present to support that. I just think that Crossfitters and treadmill jockeys are different types of athletes, require different diets, etc.

There's a lot of variables here. Sample size large enough to make accurate assumptions?

I'm curious to see the published results and see how they tested it.

They had about 150 total participants.

Each group worked out 4 times a week. They were all on a diet routine.

The aerobics group lost weight. Their body fat went down.

The crossfit group stayed close in weight but gained body fat on average.

They are working on doing another study larger and maybe working with other labs. I'm not sure when the results will be published. I'll keep everyone posted.

I naturally don't really grow body hair haha. And no sideburns. Just a goatee like joe dirt!

People always ask if I shave my arms and legs and shit. I guess I was just born lucky.

I just use hair clippers, keeps it short without having to shave. Shaved my legs once when I was big into cycling, won't do that again.

Itchy as fuck when the hair started growing back in.
