I'm the opposite. I do most stuff with Dumbbells so my gains are even with both arms. I'm a lefty so I know when I'm getting close to my max weights with a bar I'm leveraging the left side more to assist where I'm weak on the right. With Dumbbells it forces my right to do it on its own.

Lol I see people who lift like that, too. There are folks who will come in and do nothing but leg presses or flat bench for an hour. When I worked at the gym, I specifically remember these 2 black dudes that would come in and their workouts were always at least 2 hrs; they were both strong guys, but you can get what you need done in 45 mins to an hour...there's no need to do 15 sets of flat bench every week lol

I like to do Arnold's, military, and barbell....keep dem muscles guessing.

x2 on being a lefty. When on bench, after I get tired, you can see me favoring the left side sometimes.

But I like to mix between dumbbells and barbells to keep things changed up...I'll even throw in the occasional machine every once in a while, too. I like to think that changing things up keeps the muscles on their toes. I read a thing by Arnold a few days ago about it. If you do the same 3-4 exercises at the same rep ranges day in and day out, your muscles adapt to it. I like to go in every time with my muscles having no idea what I'm going to throw at them next.

I lift light - no need to go heavy if you just want to build muscle. I keep saying proper form and go slower and you'll feel it.
DB shoulder I do 40lbs max! 7sec up - 1 sec hold - 7 Sec down - 1 sec up....try do to 3 sets of 15 of those and let me know how it feels that's ~11min "under tension"...I do 2 different exercises after and within 30min my shoulder workout is complete ;)

My 13 year old brother finally wants to come to the gym with me consistently. I think there's a girl involved here . . . ha

That said, doing my workouts with some lower weights mixed in and real slow, deliberate reps showing him how to do everything has me feeling the burn like crazy. Shows me how much more I could focus on my form than I thought.

    Lifetime fitness goals..........Go.

After reading an E-book the other day, my new lifetime goal is to have a 1 to 1 relationship with my deadlift and mile time.

Lifetime fitness goal is longevity. I used to just want to get big and be strong. After years of rehab and a second chance at lifting I mainly want to be fit, have a good physique, and feel healthy and strong overall well into my 90s :)

Not opposed to getting yoked now though ha

Jesus... to have a body like that would be LOTS of work. I mean, you'd have to be religious with your diet & routines.

    I wish.
