Exactly, especially when (as I told her) there are managers who have more "extreme" hair styles..as well as visible tattoos and body piercings. I have a pierced left ear and at the time no tats, mine can all be hidden by a short sleeve shirt. For a company that celebrates diversity it sucks..

My throat started feelin a little weird today. I'm hoping the sinuses don't start messing with me. It typically happens every time the weather changes. But...it's still like 60-70 here, so we haven't even gotten to a weather change yet.

Yea it's warm here too. Anyway, start gargling some warm salt water or something before it gets worse. I haven't gone to the gym since Sunday. Diet has been shit. When I go back I'm gonna look like I'm part of the new years wave dyel group.

I'm not excited at all to deal with that wave lol. All in all I don't feel like my Christmas was too bad on the shit calorie intake actually! The weekend isn't over yet but I feel like I did better than most years

    worst feeling ever

I love it. Our gym has a machines area and a freeweights area and the freeweights area is where the men play, so it's always fun to see the newbs come back there and try to workout with the regulars. 90% don't last a month, but you'll occasionally get someone who sticks with it. Doing chest & bi's is gonna be a pain in the ass until around February.

In other news, I got my wireless headphones yesterday and a couple new pairs of gym shorts. Excited to go do some chest today.

Also, I didn't eat like total shit yesterday! I think the worst thing I had was about half a platter of assorted meats. My mom had a meat and cheese tray that I absolutely destroyed. I probably ate a full pound of pepperoni, salami, ham, and cheese.

Had a good chest and tri's day today. I left my Assualt at work, but I had a free sample of ON Platinum-Pre that I took. I didn't realize until afterwards that there were 2 servings in the packet, so I was really feeling it today! There were some newbs in there today and I saw them 'mirin when I threw up 315 twice. I even had my wife spotting me. It was epic.

Did the 225 challenge on flat bench and got 14, which isn't as much as I thought I would, but oh well. Also measured my arm at an even 17" post-workout...too bad they'll be back to 16.5" in a few hrs :pout:

    flat bench: 135x20, 225x14, 315x2, 225x8, 135x10 (4 secs down, 2 sec pause, 4 secs up)
    hammer strength chest machine: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6
    pec dec: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6
    cable crossovers: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6
overhead triceps rope extensions: 3 sets of 15, 12, 10
    overhead dumbbell extensions: 3 sets of 15, 12, 10
    reverse-grip triceps straight bar pushdown: 3 sets of 20, 15, 10

Gonna go back to upper/lower split next week. I HATE not doing legs twice a week

So what is the 225 challenge? Just do some warm ups and then see how many reps at 225 you can do for both squat and bench? Same day or split?

the 225 challenge can be on the same day or split.... most people just toss an extra set in at the start of their work out....

Its how many reps you can do with constant movement, no pauses or 100% lock out, bouncing or funny business.

Another Challenge for those power lifter/ strong man/ over all bad ass shape people is the 7/7rm bench, squat, deadlift set with 1 min rest between the 7 sets.

The 10/10 is the starting point, 8/10 people puke when they start it

i have become so used to not training with a belt even on 1rm DL, Front squats that when i try use one my lifts go down lol. With that said, i think I'm going to try see if my 1rm Strict over head press goes up with the use of a belt. I find that when i reach my 3rm-1rm my back seems to be the limiting factor. My goal is to hit 136.5kg Strict over head press some time in 2016 in the 100kg class

At 10 months of fairly "dedicated" gym attendence im still a noob, and still be mirin at you bros putting up these weights.

But what you said about the free weight/bench/squat rack area is so true across all gyms Id assume lol. I've broight a number of friends to lift (still at a college rec) and almost all of them stop comming because they feel intimidated....how do you get inspired to get better if you don't have something to push torwards? I've stolen a ton of lift ideas from just watching people too. And I'm still one of the smaller regulars in there

    What's a pec dec?
